🌟 Employee Spotlight: Charlee Blankenship, Men's IOP Clinician 🌟

When asked what made her want to work in this field, Charlee shared:

"Helping others see that there is still light after dark and reminding them that recovery and healing are possible."

Something people may not know about Charlee is that she genuinely values connection and believes even the smallest encouragement can make a lasting impact on someone's life.

Her favorite mantra/Qoute is:
"This is just part of the process."

When asked what she loves most about being part of the Forward Health team, Charlee said:

"What I love most about being part of the Forward Health team is the support and sense of teamwork. My supervisors are understanding and appreciative, and my coworkers are always willing to help and work together. I truly enjoy what I do every day it doesn’t even feel like a job."

Rodney Johnson ✨
Case Manager | Forward Health

Rodney came into this field wanting to keep himself connected, continue growing, and help others the same way he was once helped. His passion for recovery and giving back shines through in the work he does every day.

Something many people may not know about Rodney is that he was diagnosed with stage 1 cancer just 4 months ago. Through it all, he continues to show strength, resilience, and dedication to both his recovery and the people he serves.

His favorite quote, “Only the strong will survive,” reflects the mindset he carries through life and recovery.

We’re grateful to have Rodney as part of the Forward Health family and proud of the impact he makes on those around him every day. 💙

Meet Alainee Kensler, Intake Specialist at Forward Health.

Alainee was drawn to the recovery field after witnessing firsthand both the impact addiction can have on people and the life-changing power of recovery. She believes deeply in every individual’s ability to overcome challenges and is passionate about being someone who can support, encourage, and guide others through that journey, just as others once did for her.

For Alainee, this work is more than a job. It’s purpose-driven.

When asked what she loves most about being part of the Forward Health team, Alainee shared that the level of care and dedication shown to every client truly sets Forward Health apart. She also values the support within the team, where everyone uplifts one another, shares knowledge, and genuinely wants to see each other succeed.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Emma Pennington, Intake Specialist ✨

We believe in humanizing the process and Emma embodies that in every interaction she has.

Emma knew early on that this field was her calling. After witnessing the stigma and lack of compassion many people face in addiction, she made it her mission to approach everyone with empathy and understanding. Having been exposed to substance use at a young age, she developed a deep sense of compassion that never wavered. As she grew older, seeing people she cared about struggle and sometimes be met with judgment instead of support, only strengthened her purpose. After experiencing devastating losses among friends and family, Emma now channels those experiences into helping a population that is often misunderstood but deeply deserving of care.

Before joining Forward Health, Emma worked in both a daycare and an assisted living facility. These experiences helped shape her passion for working with people, building connections, understanding individuals, and watching them grow. While those roles weren’t her final destination, they played a meaningful part in her journey.

Her favorite Quote -
“Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day that’s the hard part.”

What Emma loves most about Forward Health is the sense of family. Being surrounded by a team that genuinely celebrates growth and achievements makes every day meaningful. She finds it a blessing to wake up excited, knowing she’ll spend her day alongside strong, inspiring individuals both staff and clients alike.
