A sensory friendly fall activity!

Don't Miss The Great Westerville Pumpkin Glow - Sensory Friendly on Wednesday, October 14th October 2026 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM 🎃

This is an INCLUSIVE event in a sensory-friendly environment. There will be no smoke machines, strobing lights, food trucks or merchandise. Noise canceling headphones and a quiet area will be available. This fun-filled evening will include complimentary refreshments, games and activities.

Admission is $5 per participant. Registration is required for all participants. One adult or one support staff member is free and do not need to register.

Today's Self Advocates meeting focused on voting. Lots of self advocates had voted before, and others had questions about the process. Thank you to the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Columbus and Ohio Association of County Boards of DD for fostering discussion!

West Central students had a special outing on Friday to honor the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We did an outing to Hoover Reservoir and joined many area police officers and firefighters from the area in climbing the stairs to honor 9/11 first responders. One student, Malik R., got to run up the stairs with a Gahanna police officer. On a few of the pictures, you can see staff member David (in a blue shirt) carrying a weighted back, which was used to symbolize the gear that firefighters carried that day. He did 8 flights of stairs to equal the amount they climbed on 9/11.
