πŸ’š June is Men’s Mental Health Month πŸ’š

Men face mental health challenges too, but many suffer in silence because they have been taught to "be strong," "man up," or keep their feelings to themselves.

The truth is: Mental health is health. Talking about your feelings is a strength, not a weakness. Asking for help is courageous. You do not have to carry everything alone.

This month, let's normalize conversations about men's mental health and remind men that seeking support is a sign of strength.

If you're struggling, reach out. Help is available, and healing is possible.

Gym Time with Dr. C πŸ’ͺ🏾

πŸ’š Movement is Medicine πŸ’š
One of her favorite forms of self-care and excercise is Dancing!

For her, that looks like dancing in gym class, laughing, sweating, and giving my mind a chance to reset. Physical activity isn't just good for your body; it's powerful for your mental health tooπŸ’š.

✨ Reduces stress
✨ Improves mood
✨ Boosts energy
✨ Helps manage anxiety and depression
✨ Builds confidence
✨ Creates a healthy outlet for emotions

This is your reminder to find a form of movement you actually enjoy. It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be intense. It just has to get you moving.
Happy Mental Health Awareness Month! πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Stress and Anxiety Are Not The SameπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š

Stress is usually connected to a specific situation or challenge work, finances, parenting, deadlines, relationships. It often decreases once the stressor is resolved.

Anxiety can linger even when there is no clear reason. It can feel like constant worry, fear, overthinking, racing thoughts, trouble sleeping, or feeling on edge.

Both can impact your mental and physical health, but understanding the difference can help you better recognize what you’re experiencing and what support you may need.

You don’t have to ignore the signs your mind and body are giving you.

Sometimes depression doesn’t look like sadness.
Sometimes it looks like anger.

Irritability. Frustration. Snapping at people. Feeling overwhelmed by small things. Emotional exhaustion can come out in ways many people don’t recognize.

Not everyone struggling with depression is crying or withdrawn. Some people are fighting silent battles behind stress, short tempers, or emotional shutdown.

Mental health struggles do not always look the way people expect them to.

πŸ’š Remember to check in with yourself.πŸ’š

We spend so much time checking on everyone else that we sometimes forget to pause and ask ourselves: How am I really doing?

Taking a moment to identify what you need can change everything. Maybe you need rest. Maybe you need support. Maybe you need boundaries, grace, or simply a break.

You cannot pour from an empty cup. Give yourself permission to listen to what your mind and body are telling you.

πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š Pause for a moment today and ask yourself: What do I need right now?

05/22/2026

Anxiety is real. πŸ’š

It doesn’t always look like panic attacks or obvious distress. Anxiety can show up as:
β€’ Headaches
β€’ Stomach aches
β€’ Constant worry
β€’ Overthinking
β€’ Trouble sleeping
β€’ Feeling overwhelmed
β€’ Irritability or feeling on edge

Sometimes what we dismiss as β€œjust stress” may be signs that our mind and body are asking for attention.

It’s important to recognize the different signs and symptoms of anxiety and remember that mental health struggles do not always look the same for everyone.
