Strong workplaces don't happen by accident—they're built through intentional investment in people.

We're grateful to work alongside organizations like Sanctuary Night that prioritize employee wellbeing, professional growth, and healthy team dynamics.

Recently, our team facilitated conflict management training with Sanctuary Night, equipping staff with practical, trauma-informed tools to navigate challenges, strengthen communication, and support one another more effectively.

Thank you to Sanctuary Night for your partnership and your commitment to creating a workplace culture where employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work. 💙

June is PTSD Awareness Month — and while trauma can deeply impact daily life, support, healing, and recovery are possible. 💚

PTSD can develop after many types of traumatic experiences, including abuse, violence, accidents, natural disasters, loss, or military service. No matter the cause, no one should have to navigate it alone.

MHAOhio’s Get Connected program helps individuals and families find the mental health care and community resources that fit their unique needs. Through this free service, compassionate advocates can help connect people to counseling, psychiatry, crisis services, legal resources, patient rights advocacy, and other supports while helping them navigate the mental health system.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start, Get Connected is here to help you take the next step toward healing and support.

The FCSPC had a blast tabling at the Franklin County Office on Aging Senior Adult Day at the Clippers Game. Senior Adult Day is a community event for older adults that combines a social outing to a Columbus Clippers baseball game with opportunities to connect with aging services, enjoy group activities, and promote social engagement, wellness, and community involvement.

We’re honored to work alongside Sanctuary Night as they participate in the Occumetrics® workplace wellbeing assessment and implementation process—an important step toward strengthening organizational culture, supporting employee wellbeing, and creating sustainable workplace change.

The Occumetrics® workplace wellbeing assessment was designed to help organizations better understand the workplace factors that matter most to their employees. Through a combination of validated staff surveys, focus groups, leadership interviews, and comprehensive reporting, organizations receive meaningful data and actionable recommendations rooted in employee feedback and best practices for healthy workplaces.

While we specialize in behavioral health organizations, the Occumetrics® process can benefit any workplace seeking to better understand workforce challenges, improve employee satisfaction, strengthen retention, and foster healthier organizational culture.

We appreciate Sanctuary Night’s willingness to invest in their staff and take intentional steps toward creating a healthier workplace for all. Their participation reflects a meaningful commitment to growth, collaboration, and employee wellbeing.

As we approach the close of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are continuing to advocate for our community!

MHAOhio Executive Director Tonya Fulwider spoke at the Ohio Statehouse as Senator Willis E. Blackshear Jr. completed his 72-mile walk for Mental Health Awareness Month. Senator Blackshear walked from Dayton to Columbus to raise awareness and advocacy for mental health.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we are reflecting on all areas of wellness and self-care. For many MHAOhio team members, music is both healing and an outlet of self-expression.

At our staff retreat this month, we compiled a playlist with everyone’s favorite songs — tracks that help us recharge, reflect, feel seen, and find joy. 🎶💚

From calming melodies to energizing anthems, music reminds us that caring for our mental health can look different for everyone. What’s a song that supports your wellness journey? Drop it in the comments ⬇️
