Brianna has earned wonderful feedback from patients and families for the time she takes to connect with those she cares for. Recently, she helped a patient who uses a wheelchair fold laundry and rearrange her room, something that may seem small, but meant so much to the patient.

Her patients look forward to her visits, and it's clear that Brianna brings compassion to every interaction.

Looking for a meaningful way to give back? ❤️

Our Hospice Memory Bear Program gives volunteers an opportunity to use their creativity to create something incredibly special for families experiencing loss.

Memory bears are handmade from a loved one's clothing, creating a keepsake families can hold onto for years to come. Volunteers help bring these bears to life, and sewing experience is helpful but not required. Materials are provided, and the opportunity offers flexible, project-based involvement.

It's just one of the many ways our hospice volunteers use their time and talents to make a difference.

We’re proud to recognize Samantha Mann, RN Case Manager with our Erie Hospice team, for going above and beyond to honor a patient’s final wishes.

When a patient needed additional support making his final arrangements, Sam worked with a local funeral home to help ensure his wishes could be carried out. Knowing how important his faith was to him, she also coordinated with the hospice chaplain to have his Bible and rosary blessed.

Sam’s actions demonstrated compassion, respect and a commitment to preserving her patient’s dignity through the end of life.

Thank you, Sam, for showing what Compassion looks like in action. ❤️
