A patient accidentally kneed me in the chest today while a needle was in the Sp10 point.

People assume that the needle would drive further into the patient's body, but as you can see instead, the needle bent as soon as it hit my chest and didn't pe*****te any deeper into the patient's leg. The patient didn't even realize the needle was bent because it didn't bend inside the body, only the outside. When I came back in, the patient was asleep.

It is absolutely incredible how such a tiny and thoughtfully designed tool can create such incredible changes in the body for pain relief, inflammation, and so much more!

One of the things I love most about Columbus is that there are fun things happening everywhere! For example today, till 3:00 p.m., there is the Nature Loving Fest happening just next door! This local vegan event is free and open to the public, and there are so many great artists and vendors of body care, cosmetics, jewelry, and more! What a fun thing to be happening just next door!

Another great weekend at the Gift of light expo! So great, actually, that I didn't even snap a picture of the booth! Thank you so much to all of the new friends who came by to chat, tried some tea, and scheduled the next phase of their healing journey! Can't wait to see you all soon!

A tale of two cups...

Both of these vacuum cups were retained for 10 minutes and were placed to address shoulder pain. Can you guess where the most pain was located? Because cupping works by breaking up stagnant blood inside the body, it's no surprise that areas of greater stagnation will tend to turn a darker color and particularly for fitness enthusiasts and athletes, the accumulation of micro tears overtime will also manifest in greater blood stagnation.

I am happy to report that the patient's pain went away almost entirely after this one treatment and while further treatments will be needed because this is a chronic issue, being able to pick up one's arm without wincing is a blessing we should all be thankful for.
