When Yvonne first came to MercyMed, she was looking for healthcare without insurance, like most of our patients.
Her blood pressure had reached a dangerous level. Chronic back and knee pain had made her afraid to move, and over time, she found herself leaving home less and less.
But then she found Kelly, a primary care provider at MercyMed. Her blood pressure came down. Through physical therapy with Scott in our Wellness Center, she regained strength and confidence. With nutrition counseling from our dietitian, Jamie, she developed healthier habits. Most importantly, she found a community that reminded her she mattered.
"The staff here feel like childhood friends," Yvonne shared. "They see you. They care about you. I didn't feel judged or less than. I felt like I mattered."
We are so thankful Yvonne now feels healthier, stronger, and hopeful again.
