🦵 When your kneecap isn’t moving quite right, your knee may let you know.

Patellar tracking disorder occurs when the kneecap does not move properly within its groove as the knee bends and straightens. This can lead to pain around the front of the knee, popping or grinding sensations, swelling, or discomfort during activities like climbing stairs and squatting.

Treatment can vary depending on the cause and may include activity modifications, physical therapy, strengthening exercises, or other options.

If knee pain is interfering with your daily activities, our specialists can help determine what’s causing it and recommend next steps.

October Is Physical Therapy Month!

Walking without hesitation. Getting back on the field. Keeping up with the grandkids. Simply moving with more confidence.

Every patient’s goal is different, and physical therapy can play an important role in helping people recover, rebuild strength and mobility, and return to the activities that matter most.

It’s Falls Prevention Awareness Week.

Take a moment to think about someone you love—a parent, grandparent, neighbor, or friend.

Now ask yourself . . . would they be able to get back up if they fell?

A fall can change someone's independence in an instant, but many falls are preventable. Staying active, improving balance and strength, wearing supportive shoes, and making small changes around the home can make a big difference.

This week, check in with the people you care about. A simple conversation today could help prevent a serious injury tomorrow.

If joint pain or mobility issues are making it harder to stay steady on their feet, our specialists are here to help them keep moving safely.

āŒ FALSE! A proper warm-up should include dynamic movements that gradually increase your heart rate and prepare your muscles and joints for the activity ahead—not just standing still and stretching.

Why does it matter? Dynamic warm-ups increase blood flow, improve mobility, and activate the muscles you'll rely on during your sport. This helps your body react more efficiently to quick movements, changes in direction, and explosive activity, which may reduce your risk of strains, sprains, and other sports-related injuries.

Before your next workout or game, try:

• 5 – 10 minutes of brisk walking or light jogging
• Leg swings
• Walking lunges
• Arm circles
• High knees

What's one warm-up exercise you never skip? Share it in the comments!
