Since opening its doors on July 1, 2001, Columbus Pediatrics has grown from a small four-exam-room office into a thriving practice serving families throughout the Columbus area. Guided by Dr. Devica Alappan's unwavering commitment to compassionate, high-quality pediatric care, the practice has earned the trust of generations of families. As Columbus Pediatrics celebrates its 25th anniversary today, it reflects with gratitude on the journey so far and looks ahead to many more years of caring for the children of our community.

n September 2023, Dr. Jackson Montrym joined the practice and now provides care primarily at the Old Town location. His addition represents the continued growth of the practice and its ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality pediatric care to the Columbus community.

Over time, a significant portion of the practice’s patient population resided in North Columbus, requiring many families to travel to the Midtown office.

In response, Dr. Alappan opened a second practice location in the Old Town area of Columbus in July 2018. This expansion improved accessibility for families living in North Columbus while allowing the practice to continue providing comprehensive pediatric care across the community.

The practice currently operates two locations serving patients throughout the region.

2013 Expansion of Clinical Team

As the practice continued to grow, Amy Higgins, Nurse Practitioner, joined the practice in 2013. Her addition allowed the office to expand access to care and continue meeting the needs of an increasing number of patients and families.
