Happy Father’s Day from all of us at Victory Rehabilitation!

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who lead by example, work tirelessly for their families, and somehow always find the strength to keep going—even when they’re dealing with aches, pains, injuries, or recovery challenges of their own.

We’re honored to help so many dads in our community stay active, healthy, and able to do the things they love most—whether that’s coaching from the sidelines, playing in the backyard, working hard on the job, or simply spending quality time with family.

Thank you for trusting us with your care.

We wish all the amazing fathers in the Tri-City Area a happy, healthy, and blessed Father’s Day!

Not every soccer injury happens suddenly.

Shin splints often develop gradually from repetitive running, training volume, and stress placed on the lower legs.

Common symptoms include: Pain along the shin bone, Soreness after practice or games, Tenderness in the lower leg, Pain that worsens with activity

Ignoring shin splints can sometimes lead to more serious injuries, including stress fractures.

Many players try to push through groin pain, but lingering symptoms can affect performance and lead to compensations elsewhere.

⚽ WORLD CUP INJURY SERIES: HAMSTRING STRAINS ⚽

Speed wins games—but it can also stress the hamstrings.

Hamstring strains are common in soccer players due to sprinting, accelerating, and explosive movements.

Signs of a hamstring strain may include sudden pain in the back of the thigh, tightness or cramping, pain with sprinting, weakness during running or kicking

Unfortunately, returning too soon can lead to repeated injuries.

Physical therapy helps by promoting proper healing, restoring flexibility, rebuilding strength and power, improving running mechanics, reducing reinjury risk

A stronger functioning hamstring helps athletic performance, protects the knee joint, and can even alleviate lower back pain!

⚽ WORLD CUP INJURY SERIES: ANKLE SPRAINS ⚽

Did you know ankle sprains account for the majority of time lost to injury in soccer?

Whether it's stepping on another player's foot, landing awkwardly after a header, or making a quick change of direction, ankle injuries can happen in an instant.

Common symptoms include pain around the ankle, swelling and bruising, difficulty walking or running, feeling unstable when changing directions

Many athletes try to "walk it off," but untreated ankle sprains can lead to chronic instability and repeated injuries.

Physical therapy can help reduce pain and swelling, restore mobility, improve balance and coordination, strengthen the ankle and lower leg, reduce the risk of future sprains

The goal isn't just to recover—it's to come back stronger and more confident.

⚽ WORLD CUP INJURY SERIES: ACL TEARS ⚽

One quick cut. One sudden pivot. One awkward landing.

That's all it can take to tear the ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament)—one of the most serious and well-known injuries in soccer.

ACL injuries can happen when an athlete changes direction quickly, lands from a jump, or stops suddenly. While contact can cause an ACL tear, many occur without any contact at all.

Common signs of an ACL injury include: A popping sensation in the knee, Immediate swelling, Knee instability or "giving way", and difficulty returning to play

The good news? Physical therapy plays a critical role in recovery.
Whether surgery is required or not, a structured rehabilitation program is essential for getting athletes back to the activities they love.
At Victory Rehabilitation, physical therapy can help: reduce pain and swelling, restore knee mobility, rebuild strength and stability, improve balance and coordination, and prepare you for a safe return to sport (or whatever else you want to return to)
