When a patient’s denture was damaged during an MRI exam, Kendra Judd, RDMS(AB)(BR), RVT (VT), Imaging Manager at AdventHealth Hendersonville, took ownership of the situation and never gave up until it was resolved. She worked through additional steps to ensure a smooth payment process, coordinated directly with the patient and helped ensure reimbursement for the denture replacement. Some partnerships are built in meeting rooms. Others are built side by side in the moments when people need care the most.

Throughout EMS Week, our teams traveled across Western North Carolina to spend time with the EMS professionals who show up for our communities every day with compassion, courage and steady care. From early morning calls to critical emergencies, these teams help patients and families feel supported during some of life’s most uncertain moments.

Each stop along the way was an opportunity to say thank you and to recognize the meaningful role EMS teams play in helping people get the care they need, when they need it most.

It is a privilege to work alongside these dedicated first responders and to share a commitment to caring for our communities with skill, heart and compassion.

Thank you for all you do to help people feel safe, supported and cared for every step of the way.

Ahead of the NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, AdventHealth welcomed LEGACY MOTOR CLUB(LMC) driver Erik Jones, members of the LMC Pit Crew and the No. 43 AdventHealth Toyota Camry No. XSE show car to downtown Hendersonville for a community event centered on connection, literacy and wellness.

Members of the community had the opportunity to meet Erik Jones, see the show car up close, connect with Pit Crew members and experience some of the teamwork and energy that make race weekend memorable.

The event also highlighted a shared commitment between AdventHealth, LEGACY MOTOR CLUB and Erik Jones to support literacy and learning opportunities for children and families. During the event, AdventHealth presented a donation to the Henderson County Education Foundation to support local summer reading programs and encourage lifelong learning across our community.

Together, these efforts continue creating opportunities to support the health and well-being of the next generation — on and off the track.

During EMS Week, AdventHealth Polk recognized the team at Polk County Emergency Services for the care and support they provide to patients and families across our community.

EMS professionals help people through some of life’s most critical moments with compassion, quick response and expert care.

As part of this year’s celebration, AdventHealth Polk presented a new grill along with some sweet treats to Polk County Emergency Services in appreciation for all they do to support the health and well-being of our community.

This recognition reflects our commitment to providing safe, compassionate, evidence-based care that supports older adults during every step of their hospital stay. Through the 4Ms framework — What Matters, Medication, Mentation and Mobility — our care teams are helping patients maintain independence, dignity and quality of life.
