NOTICE REGARDING ONLINE OBITUARY LISTINGS

Progressive Funeral Home has recently been made aware of an issue involving obituary listings appearing on third-party websites, including Legacy.com and some search engine results, where certain obituaries are incorrectly attributed to the wrong funeral home.
Please be assured that Progressive Funeral Home continues to serve families in our community as we always have. If you see an obituary online that appears to reference Progressive Funeral Home but lists another funeral home as the publisher, this is the result of a technical listing error on external obituary websites and is currently being addressed with those providers.
Progressive Funeral Home has not changed ownership, has not closed, and remains fully operational and committed to serving families with the same care and dignity our community has trusted for generations.
For the most accurate and up-to-date obituary information, we encourage families to view memorials on our official website www.progressivefuneralhome.com or contact our office at (706) 685-8023 if you have any questions.

Thank you for your understanding.

At Progressive Funeral Home, your trust and security are our top priorities. It has come to our attention that scammers have been spoofing our business contact information and impersonating insurance agents to deceive families.

Recently, a family was contacted by someone pretending to be an insurance agent, claiming their funeral insurance policies were behind on premium payments and demanding immediate payment via CashApp. This is a SCAM. We want to remind you:

✅ We will NEVER ask for payments via CashApp, Venmo, or other instant payment services.

✅ Insurance companies typically will not call for late payments. Instead, they deduct from your existing premiums if needed.

✅ Always verify any communication regarding insurance or policies by contacting us directly at 706.685.8023.

✅ Be cautious of unsolicited calls asking for immediate payments.

If you receive any suspicious calls, please hang up and call us directly to confirm the legitimacy. Help us protect our community by sharing this message with your loved ones.
