We celebrated our final Spring Harbor Senior Night sponsorship of the season with our very own resident, Mike Hill, throwing out the ceremonial first “Peach,” with two very special teammates by his side, his great-grandsons, Tanner and Hunter.

Mike and his wife, Martha, are lifelong Columbus residents and have called Spring Harbor home for the past nine years. They recently celebrated an incredible 61 years of marriage! A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Mike is blessed with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

We’ve loved partnering with the Columbus Clingstones for Senior Nights this season and celebrating the people who make our Columbus community so special.

Meet Our September Wellness Ambassador: Ms. Karen!

Karen may be a newer resident at Spring Harbor, but she certainly didn’t waste any time jumping right into our Wellness Classes! She and her husband, Bain, are true go-getters, and we love the energy and enthusiasm they bring to our community.

Karen regularly participates in Strength & Conditioning, Mobility & Balance, and Sit & Be Fit. And when asked to choose a favorite? She couldn’t pick just one!

“I enjoy all of them! John is outstanding. His sense of humor keeps the class fun, and his encouragement and understanding of our individual limitations motivate us to make our best efforts.”

For Karen, the benefits go beyond building strength and flexibility. She says participating in classes and socializing with other residents has helped her feel at home and become part of the Spring Harbor community.

Her advice to others?

“Find a class or activity that interests you and jump in! Don’t feel intimidated. No one is judging you. Stick to a routine and make exercise a habit!”

And here’s a fun fact about Karen: despite being afraid of deep water, she became a certified scuba diver while living in Brazil! 🤿 She also once feared public speaking until her pastor asked her to deliver a Sunday message and she discovered she rather enjoyed having a captive audience!

Karen, we’re so glad you and Bain are part of the Spring Harbor family. Congratulations on being our September Wellness Ambassador! Keep up the great work!

One last Senior Night at the ballpark!

We’ve had such a great time cheering on the Columbus Clingstones this season, and we’re excited to wrap up our Senior Night partnership with a special Spring Harbor moment!

Our very own resident, Mike Hill, will be taking the mound to throw out the ceremonial first pitch! We can’t wait to cheer him on and enjoy one more evening of baseball, community, and Clingstones fun.

As always, fans 65+ can purchase discounted tickets at the box office for Senior Night.

Come out, cheer on Mike, and help us make our final Senior Night of the season a memorable one!

Because sometimes you just need a BLT!

Our Life Enrichment team knows the way to our residents’ hearts, and BLT Day definitely did the trick! Crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, and plenty of good conversation made for one delicious afternoon.

Judging by the smiles, we think it’s safe to say this resident favorite needs to stay on the calendar!

Good food + good friends + a little fun = a pretty great day at Spring Harbor.

Fresh finds, local goodness, and a little Game Day spirit!

Our Dining Services and Life Enrichment teams teamed up once again to bring a Farmer’s Market & Gift Shop Sale to our residents and staff!

A special thank-you to MercyMed of Columbus for sharing some of their fresh, locally grown produce with us for our Farmer’s Market. We love having the opportunity to bring a little bit of our local community right here to Spring Harbor!

Whether you were stocking up on fresh fruits and veggies or searching for the perfect Game Day attire, there was a little something for everyone.

Amy’s professionalism, positive attitude, and willingness to always step in and say “yes” have made her such a valued part of the Spring Harbor family. Whether supporting our residents, team members, or leadership, she is always willing to go above and beyond.

Some visits just make the whole day a little brighter. 🐾

We always love seeing Irma and Ruby Sue come through our doors! Ruby Sue made her rounds, stopping for plenty of pets, lots of smiles, and a few yummy treats along the way. It’s hard not to smile when that sweet face comes your way!

Thank you, Irma, for sharing Ruby Sue with us. These simple moments of connection and companionship are such a special part of life at Spring Harbor.
