Seneca, Choices for Life is a Women's Center geared towards helping mothers before, during, and after pregnancy. Seneca, Choices for Life is a non-profit organization in the state of Georgia serving the Chattahoochee Valley whose mission is to reduce unplanned pregnancy and to make abortion unthinkable through prevention, intervention, and intercession. At Seneca, we believe that it is vital that

parents experiencing an unplanned pregnancy have access to crisis intervention that not only affirms their value and dignity but also that of their unborn child. On December 30, 2015, we were blessed to be able to purchase our current facility --directly beside our local abortion clinic. The efficacy of our ministry directly relates to our proximity to the abortion clinic. All over North America, pregnancy centers are opening their doors directly beside abortion clinics and are seeing a massive increase in families served and babies saved. For example, Real Options in California moved three of its clinics beside abortion facilities and had a 268% increase in babies saved within the first year. Our building will allow expectant parents to have a last chance for life affirming information, options, and support, allowing them to make a truly informed choice. Seneca is a member of National Institute of Family and Life Advocates and Heartbeat International. Seneca is a Christian founded organization with a cross-denominational board composed of members from churches and civic groups throughout the entire Chattahoochee Valley.

Motherhood looks different for every woman, but at its core, it is marked by love, sacrifice, strength, and unwavering commitment.

In this video, Liz, our Director of Programs and Behavioral Health, and Sandra, our Case Manager, share what motherhood means to them personally and how that shapes the way they serve the women who walk through our doors each day.

Their own experiences as mothers give them a deeper understanding of the challenges, emotions, and responsibilities that come with this role. Because of that, they are able to meet other moms with empathy, compassion, and genuine care, walking alongside them through both the difficult moments and the victories.

At Seneca Women’s Center, support goes beyond services. It is rooted in relationship, understanding, and a shared commitment to helping every mother feel seen, valued, and equipped to move forward with confidence.

This is what it means to walk alongside moms.

Gracia* (name changed for privacy) came to Seneca during a very vulnerable time in her life. She was pregnant and emotionally overwhelmed after the father of her child misled her about his marital situation and ultimately abandoned her. Facing uncertainty and deep hurt, she was unsure about whether to continue her pregnancy.

Through God’s guidance and the support she received, Gracia chose to parent her child.

Since that moment, Seneca has had the privilege of walking alongside her, providing advocacy, faith-based support, and encouragement through some of her most difficult seasons. We have also connected her with legal resources to help navigate her situation and pursue custody for her child. Through it all, Gracia has remained committed and resilient, actively working to overcome the obstacles in her life.

Recently, she attended a “Self Acceptance and Self Love” event during Seneca’s Vida Nueva support group. On her activity sheet, she wrote goals like, “I want to keep growing into the best mom I can be,” and expressed her desire to continue growing in her faith despite life’s challenges. These reflections are a beautiful glimpse into how far she has come.

Gracia’s transformation is evident. In May, she will graduate from college, a milestone that reflects her perseverance, strength, and determination to build a better future for herself and her child.

As we walk alongside women like Gracia, we see how vital it is to restore not only stability, but identity. One of the most powerful parts of that journey is learning self-love.

Self-love and acceptance are deeply transformative. In a world that often pressures women to seek validation from external sources, we believe true healing comes from understanding one’s worth through the love of Christ. When women begin to see themselves as God sees them, it changes everything. It brings healing, confidence, and the ability to move forward with hope.

Gracia’s story is a testament to that transformation.

Motherhood changes everything.

For Meri, it began earlier than most. At just 15 years old, she became a mother. Stepping into a role she may not have fully understood at the time, but one that would shape the rest of her life.

Meri shares her story with honesty and emotion. She reflects on what it meant to welcome her first child as a teenager, navigating fear, uncertainty, and the weight of growing up overnight.

But when she talks about her son, her words are simple and powerful.

She calls him her first love.

In that statement, you can hear everything; sacrifice, growth, resilience, and a love that carried her through some of the hardest moments of her life.

Meri’s story is a reminder that motherhood doesn’t always come in perfect timing or ideal circumstances. Sometimes it comes in the middle of fear. Sometimes it asks more of us than we feel ready to give.

And yet, it also reveals strength we didn’t know we had.

At Seneca Women’s Health, we meet women like Meri every day. Women who are facing unexpected situations, who are unsure of what comes next, and who need someone to walk alongside them with compassion and care.

We believe every mother deserves that support.

Because behind every story is a woman discovering her strength. A child who is deeply loved. A future that is still being written.

There is something powerful happening at Seneca.

Because of faithful supporters like you, lives are being changed every single day. Women are finding hope in the middle of fear. Families are being strengthened. Stories that once felt uncertain are now filled with purpose, community, and life.

Through the Mothers Matter campaign, we have seen God move in incredible ways. You’ve read the stories. You’ve seen the impact. From women overcoming fear and choosing life, to mothers stepping into stability and becoming leaders in their communities, this is more than a campaign. This is transformation.

And now, we are so close.

We have reached 76.8% of our goal, and there is just 23.2% remaining.

That means we are within reach of something truly significant.

Every percentage point represents real women. Real families. Real moments where someone walks through our doors unsure of what comes next and leaves with hope, support, and a path forward.

Women like Antonia, who came to Seneca facing fear, instability, and isolation. Today, she is thriving, running her own business, and mentoring other mothers. That kind of transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people like you chose to step in and make a difference.

This is the momentum we are building on.

Right now, we have the opportunity to finish what we started together. To continue meeting women in their most vulnerable moments. To keep surrounding them with compassionate, Christ-centered care. To ensure that no woman feels alone when she needs support the most.

We are not slowing down. And we don’t want to stop here.

Let’s finish strong.

Let’s carry this momentum all the way to the finish line and see even more lives changed, more stories written, and more hope restored.

Antonia, name changed for privacy, came to Seneca facing significant financial insecurity and the fear of not being able to provide for her children. Due to her undocumented status, she felt like an outsider in a community she longed to join. Despite her unstable living situation, she worked incredibly hard to overcome every obstacle, holding fast to her faith and love for Our Savior, Jesus Christ. She moved from one job to another, often taken advantage of by employers who paid her next to nothing and subjected her to constant verbal abuse because of her status. Yet, she kept her hope and faith Christ-centered and persevered despite her fears.

Today, Antonia has opened her own home floral arrangement service, which she runs with dedication and love. She is also an active participant in her church, helping with events and dancing programs that celebrate her culture. Her personal growth and commitment have allowed her to become a mentor to the new mothers at Seneca.

Stories like Antonia’s are why Seneca Women’s Health exists. Every day, women walk through our doors carrying fear, uncertainty, and overwhelming circumstances. They are searching for hope, for support, and for someone to walk alongside them without judgment. Through compassionate care, practical resources, and Christ-centered encouragement, Seneca is able to meet these women where they are and help them move forward with confidence and dignity.
