What a wonderful evening! 🎶☀️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our outdoor concert with the Worthington Civic Band! Residents, families, friends, and neighbors enjoyed a beautiful summer evening filled with fantastic music, delicious treats, and great company.

From Kona Ice and cotton candy to fun lawn games and plenty of smiles, it was the perfect way to spend a summer night together. We're so grateful to the talented musicians of the Worthington Civic Band for sharing their performance and helping make the evening so special.

Thank you to everyone who came out—we loved seeing our Cherry Blossom community and guests together for an unforgettable night of music and fellowship!

Tonight! Celebrate a summer evening with us at the gazebo near the cottages as the Worthington Civic Band takes the stage at 7:00 PM.
Arrive early to enjoy a snow cone truck, axe throwing, and a variety of backyard games before the music begins. Bring your friends and family for an evening of great entertainment, delicious treats, and fun-filled activities in a festive community setting.

🍦🚐 We had the sweetest celebration for National Ice Cream Day at Cherry Blossom!

Last weekend, our very own Ice Cream Van came "driving" through the halls, complete with the classic ice cream truck song and a delicious assortment of novelty ice cream bars. As the familiar tune played, smiles lit up throughout the community as residents picked out their favorite frozen treats.

It was a fun trip down memory lane that brought joy to everyone in the building. Sometimes, it's the simple pleasures that make the biggest impact—and this was certainly one of those days! 🍨

👨‍🍳 It's Culinary Arts Month, so let's meet the Chef behind so many of the delicious meals at Cherry Blossom Senior Living—Chef Andrew!

With more than 20 years in the restaurant industry, Chef Andrew has worked his way from lead grill cook to executive chef, spending over a decade at Milestone 229 in downtown Columbus before bringing his talents to Cherry Blossom.

Cooking is truly a family passion. His wife, Sarah, is also a chef and serves as a Culinary Director within the company. While Andrew enjoys creating dishes from many different cuisines, he has a special appreciation for Asian and Mediterranean flavors. But don't let his culinary expertise fool you—he'll happily admit he never turns down a plate of Skyline Chili or a box of Bagel Bites!

When he's not in the kitchen, Andrew describes himself as a "41-year-old kid" who loves collecting comics and traveling with Sarah. They recently returned from Italy, where they explored several regions, sampled incredible cuisine, and brought home new recipes and inspiration.

Andrew is also a proud cat dad to two furry companions and brings his passion for great food, creativity, and a sense of fun to everything he does. We're so grateful to have him leading our culinary team and helping make meals at Cherry Blossom something to look forward to! 🍽️

We recently welcomed guests to Cherry Blossom for a special Meet & Greet with our Senior Executive Director, Ed, and Senior Community Relations Director, Heather—and what a wonderful afternoon it was!

One of the biggest highlights was the incredible menu prepared by our talented Chef Andrew (perhaps inspired by National Culinary Arts Month!). Guests enjoyed sweet bourbon meatballs, Caprese skewers, a beautifully arranged charcuterie board, house-made focaccia bread with sun-dried tomato pesto, chocolate-covered cream puffs, assorted macarons, and cheesecakes.

The focaccia bread and pesto sauce quickly became the talk of the event, with several guests saying it was the best they had ever tasted!

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We loved sharing great conversation, delicious food, and a warm introduction to everything Cherry Blossom has to offer. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

We were delighted to welcome members of the Columbus Museum of Art, who spent the morning with our residents sharing music and leading a fun, hands-on art project. Everyone enjoyed expressing their creativity, visiting with our special guests, and making beautiful works of art together.

Experiences like these inspire joy, spark conversation, and remind us that it's never too late to create something beautiful. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers from the Columbus Museum of Art for spending time with us—we're already looking forward to your next visit!

The Day By Day Project returned to Cherry Blossom for another Glow Party, bringing the energy with a Silent Disco program! While our team received a refresher on all the creative ways to incorporate silent disco into resident programming, our residents were busy dancing, laughing, and enjoying every beat.

Thank you to the Day by Day Project for helping us keep the party going and showing us even more ways to make every day engaging and fun!

July is National Culinary Arts Month, and we've been celebrating one delicious creation at a time! 🍍🍪

Our residents put their culinary skills to work with two fun and tasty activities.

Our Assisted Living and Independent Living residents celebrated National Piña Colada Day by creating refreshing Piña Colada Pudding Cups featuring a crushed graham cracker crust, creamy coconut pudding, a sweet pineapple ring, and a swirl of whipped cream.

Meanwhile, our Memory Care residents embraced their creativity by decorating colorful sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles.

Here's to celebrating the joy that great food and great company bring to every day!

Our residents and their loved ones gathered for a festive Fourth of July Ice Cream Social, enjoying delicious sundaes, patriotic desserts, and plenty of smiles along the way.
