As we begin EMS Week 2026, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the dedicated EMS professionals.

At Arlington EMS, EMS is more than responding to emergencies — it is compassion, commitment, teamwork, and service to our community. Whether it is providing lifesaving care during critical moments, comforting families during difficult times, teaching CPR, assisting at community events, or simply being there when someone needs help most, EMS plays an essential role in the health and safety of our communities.

Our providers sacrifice holidays, sleep, family time, and countless hours to ensure help is always available when it is needed. They do this not for recognition, but because they truly care about the people they serve.

This week, we encourage everyone to take a moment to thank the EMTs, AEMTs, and paramedics who work together to protect and care for our communities every day.

We are proud to serve Arlington and the surrounding communities, and we are grateful for the continued support from our residents, neighboring departments, and partner agencies.

Happy EMS Week 2026 to all who serve in emergency medical services.

Tuesday our medical director, Dr Nicholas Wleklinski, and Dustin Weber, came to Arlington and taught our training. The training was on Traumatic Arrests. They did a great job and it was nice to have them in-house again. All of their staff are wonderful people and a pleasure to be around.

Thank you Dr Wleklinski and Dustin for all you do not only to help me and my team out at Arlington EMS, but what you do to help everyone.

This is so true! We don’t want paid back for this❤️.

Today we spent time at Madison College EMS & Fire for the Career Expo talking to Fire/EMS students about their experiences and career path desires.

We saw a lot of familiar faces and talked with them💙🤍. You make so many connections in this field, it really is a huge family of support!

It’s always a pleasure reconnecting with the staff at the emergency services building. All of you have huge hearts and it shows you enjoy your work😊.

A couple weeks ago Jeremy and I went to the Columbus basketball game for the Prevent Su***de Columbia County along with the ladies from Prairie Ridge Health and participated in Slam Dunk stigma night. It was so nice meeting all of them, they were from the mental health department and they had such fun toys!! 😂 this is such a good cause that I have been trying to make more awareness in our communities.
