Meet Anthony! Anthony Alfano is a Licensed Social Worker with over 7 years of experience in mental health and substance abuse/addiction. Anthony is experienced in working with adults and adolescents with unique and valuable life experiences. Anthony extends compassion and empathy while taking a client-centered approach to therapy. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Mindfulness-Based Counseling, and Interpersonal Therapy, specializing in treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. Anthony earned his Master of Social Work Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. Anthony currently offers in-office and Telehealth appointments Mon-Fri from 8am-4pm.

She has over 30 years of experience in working with a wide variety of clients in community mental health, inpatient and outpatient settings, for group and individual treatment. Nancy utilizes a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
approach, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing based

Introducing our newest clinician, Sarah Helgeson, to the Apex team! Sarah earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from CACREP accredited Ashland Theological Seminary. She uses narrative-based, trauma-informed, and existential therapy techniques to help clients process through life’s difficulties and find freedom from all things holding them back from living a full life. Sarah is trained in EMDR therapy and is a trauma-informed yoga facilitator, interested in body-mind connection approaches to trauma work. Sarah has a son and enjoys exploring out in nature with him, riding her motorcycle, and making music in her spare time. Sarah is now accepting new clients Monday-Saturday at our Worthington office or via Telehealth. The following counties are now in Red Alert Level 3. Masks will be required in public in these counties beginning at 6 p.m. on July 17, 2020.

The following counties remain in Red Alert Level 3. The previous mask mandate continues in these counties.
