Happy Take Your Dog to Work Day! 🐾💙

Today, Dr. Lindner and Dr. Clair brought along two very special coworkers—Shooter and Dixie! While they may not help answer phones or see appointments, they're experts in boosting morale and accepting treats.

Shooter has earned the nickname "Super Dog" because he has donated blood many times to help other dogs in need. ❤️🐾

We always love having our four-legged friends visit the clinic, and Shooter and Dixie made sure everyone got their daily dose of smiles! 🐶

Fourth of July celebrations can be exciting for us, but they can be stressful and even dangerous for our pets.

Did you know that July 4th is one of the busiest times of the year for lost pets? The loud noises, fireworks, and increased holiday activity can cause even the calmest pets to become frightened and run away.

Before the festivities begin, take a few simple steps to help keep your furry family members safe:
🐾 Ensure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date
🐾 Keep pets safely indoors during fireworks displays
🐾 Talk with your veterinarian about anxiety relief options if your pet is fearful of loud noises
🐾 Keep pets away from fireworks, sparklers, grills, and other holiday hazards
🐾 Avoid sharing cookout foods and alcoholic beverages with pets

A little preparation can go a long way in keeping your pets safe, comfortable, and at home where they belong this Independence Day. ❤️🤍💙

Happy Veterinary Appreciation Day! ❤️🐾

We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Bryan Lindner, Dr. Clair Lindner, and Dr. Anne Faseler, whose compassion, expertise, and dedication make a difference in the lives of pets and their families every single day.

Whether they're performing surgery, helping a sick patient feel better, celebrating a kitten or puppy's first visit, or supporting families through difficult moments, their commitment to animal care never goes unnoticed.

Thank you for all that you do for our patients, clients, and community!

🪰 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR TEXAS PET OWNERS 🪰

The New World Screwworm (NWS) is currently present in the United States with present cases in adjacent counties.

Unlike typical maggots that feed on dead tissue, New World Screwworm larvae feed on living tissue and can cause severe, painful wound infections in animals. Early detection and prompt veterinary care are critical.

We've put together these graphics to help pet owners recognize potential warning signs and learn simple prevention measures. Please take a moment to review them and contact your veterinarian if you have any concerns about your pet.

🐾 Staying informed is one of the best ways to help protect your pets.

Happy National Hug Your Cat Day from all of us at Lindner Animal Hospital! 🐱💕

As a family-owned clinic, animals have always been part of our family both at work and at home. 💙

For Hug Your Cat Day, our front office team member, Faith Lindner (Dr. Lindner’s daughter and Dr. Clair’s sister), wanted to share a few photos with her cats: Alfie, Barney, Beezus, Mittens, and Sabrina, along with a special guest appearance from Cameron Alden and his cat, CC! 🐱 Each of these feline friends is very loved and adored.

We'd love to see pictures of your cats too! You may share them in the comments below! 📸🐾

🛁 Bath time! 🐾

Our sweet patient, Candy, got her specialty allergy bath today! Even though this cutie looked a little grumpy, she was definitely enjoying getting a good scrub and some extra TLC. We know Candy rated her spa day a 10/10! 🐶🫧🩵

☀️ With temperatures continuing to rise across the Texas Hill Country, it is important to remain vigilant for signs of heat stroke in pets. Heat stroke is a serious medical emergency that can become life-threatening very quickly, particularly in brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds such as Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, and similar breeds that are more prone to overheating.

Please review the signs, prevention tips, and recommended actions outlined below to help keep your pets safe this summer. Even brief periods of heat exposure can be dangerous without proper precautions. 💛🐾

If you believe your pet may be experiencing heat stroke, contact Lindner Animal Hospital immediately.
