Hollywood magic lit up Gurwin Healthcare System as residents came together to celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday in true star-studded style.

From glamorous decorations to themed festivities, the celebration brought plenty of joy, nostalgia and community spirit honoring an iconic figure whose legacy continues to shine across generations. We also proudly honored our centenarians, celebrating their incredible lives and milestones.

What a great time our Gurwin Assisted Living residents had with Dave Patrick! Residents enjoyed a morning filled with singing, dancing, laughter and even a little limbo fun. Thank you, Dave, for bringing such wonderful energy and entertainment to Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences!

As our summer vacation adventure in the Catskills continues, our residents had a fabulous time enjoying cherished dance favorites like Simon Says and the Hokey Pokey, dancing their way through the day at the "Concord" at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences!

The fun was followed by a lively discussion group, where residents shared memories and stories while reminiscing about the "Yiddish Alps."

To cap off this wonderful day and celebrate Gurwin's 25th Anniversary, we hosted a Hava Nosh Jewish Deli Social featuring delicious, corned beef and pastrami sandwiches on rye, potato knishes, babka bread, and of course, classic sides of coleslaw, pickles, and a refreshing can of Dr. Brown’s.

What a meaningful day filled with laughter, memories, friendship and great food!

Yesterday, Gurwin Assisted Living kicked off our 25th Anniversary celebration with a nostalgic Catskills Summer Vacation right here at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences, bringing us back to the beloved Borscht Belt where so many of our residents spent their summer days.

Residents checked in at our "resort registration desk" and received some fun vacation swag before enjoying a fascinating presentation by Sal St. George, The Boys of the Borscht Belt. The afternoon continued with a Make Your Own Egg Cream and Pickle Tasting Social, followed by a special welcome dinner featuring live entertainment from The Swedish Meatballs.

It was a wonderful day filled with memories, laughter, music and community as we celebrated the traditions and experiences that have shaped so many lives. Here's to 25 years of making memories together and many more to come!

Our Judaism Then and Now Club Luncheon was a wonderful success at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences! We enjoyed meaningful conversation, engaging discussions and the opportunity to connect with friends. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event so special.

Yesterday, our community came together for a special Art Reveal Celebration featuring two incredible pieces of artwork created by the talented residents of Enriched Pathways at Gurwin Jewish - Fay J. Lindner Residences.

Through creativity, collaboration and dedication, our residents brought these meaningful projects to life and proudly celebrated their accomplishments with friends, family and staff. We are so proud of their hard work and artistic expression, which continue to inspire our entire community.
