2024 recap and 2025 word for the year: BALANCE. This year my plan is to manifest work- life balance. ✨️ I am incredibly grateful as I reflect on the last 8 YEARS since the start of Integrative PT. I want to start this year by thanking everyone who has entrusted me with their care. We are here because of you. πŸ™ I have met so many amazing people and enjoyed being a part of your progress and healing. My lovely friend hosted a day retreat this past weekend and asked us to list our "energy givers" and "energy takers." Many of us noticed some of the same categories on both sides, which reinforces the saying, "we cannot flow from an empty cup." With that said, I'm sharing some of my moments outside of the office that help me create balance- travel, quality time with family and friends, yoga, movement, nature, sunrises, sunsets and (finally) starting our garden.
***Also, my hours have changed on Tuesday and Thursday as we have welcomed an amazing partner, Rori . Check out her amazing work and purpose. πŸ‘ I've found truth in the phrase, "we rise by lifting others." In that spirit, I'd love to highlight some of my fellow, favorite healers and friends who have been integral to my own journey.of.life.acupuncture

I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025! ✌️

Have to send some love to today to and .yoga πŸ’› 7 years ago I took my first and only solo trip to Aruba for .yoga SUP yoga teacher training. Shout out to my supportive family for meeting me there after the training. πŸ™ I had been a PT for about 8 years and had completed 2 yoga teacher trainings but felt a call to push myself out of my "nest" once more before starting my own business. 1 month later I took the leap and it has been quite the journey since. I am forever grateful for the experience and the people I met in Aruba. I returned just this past week and was able to take class with . It felt like a healing, full- circle, therapeutic energy. ✨️ πŸ’«πŸ™ And just today I learned that .yoga will be closing. I know some experiences and people are meant for a certain time, but there is a ripple effect that can last far beyond. I am part of that ripple effect. And to everyone who has walked through my doors in the past 7 years, thank you, thank you, thank you! I am still here because of you. πŸ™

"You don't always see your own magic because it's disguised in the ordinary things you do every day. It's the way you see the world. How you make others feel when they're in your presence- like they're seen. Like they matter. Like they're accepted, just as they are. It's the revolution inside you that says maybe the way things have always been isn't how they have to be. How you're willing to make a new path. To go in a different direction. To follow the call of your wild heart. It's your inner spark that radiates outward and lights up a room. It's your stubbornness and how you'll never give up on what's most important to you: people, beliefs, goals, dreams. You're not fearless, but you're willing to face your fears for the things that matter. And when the world tells you to be mean, you lean deeper into kindness. When the world tells you not to love, you love harder. Cynicism would be easy, but you've never taken the easy road. On those heavy nights when the world is immersed in darkness, you'll still be the last spark of hope. All this time, you've been searching for magic in the world outside of you, but can't you see it yet? You are the magic."

The is back at Integrative PT of Long Island πŸ’« Tomorrow and I host our first workshop together in over 2 years. It was actually emotional and therapeutic cleaning and rolling out these mats. My client even brought flowers from his garden that made my day! πŸ₯° First, I want to thank everyone and anyone that has been incredibly supportive, understanding and flexible these past 2 years throughout all the changes and obstacles. You kept me (and this small business) going! Second, I look forward to experiencing and sharing more of this magic together. Tomorrow we welcome you amazing humans for and in with a focus on releasing tension and burdens in the upper back and shoulders. Mostly we just look forward to moving, breathing and recovering together. πŸ’›πŸ’«πŸ™βœŒ

This March of 2022 I was able to celebrate 40 trips around the sun and 5 years of business at Integrative PT of Long Island. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ There are really no appropriate words to describe what this has meant to me, so here is my practice of gratitude. I am eternally grateful for the support, presence, words of encouragement, gifts and kind gestures from all you amazing humans that have kept me inspired along the way. There have been countless obstacles, including covid, power outages, no heat, no internet, tragedy and sleepless nights... but every person that walked through my doors kept me going. It has been a wild and beautiful journey. Even during this practice I was recovering from an allergic reaction to a bee sting πŸ˜† Seems there just isn't a "dull moment" on this path, but I am here for all of it, present and grateful πŸ™ πŸ’›βœŒ

"When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things,
who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light.
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free."

"Survival Kit" of 2020:
lots of time in nature, yoga, meditation, jogging or walking, absorbing the beauty of today, healthy eating + supplements to boost immunity- fruits and veggies, vitamin C and D, Turmeric, Zinc, Echinacea, elderberry and time with your loved ones! If you're in NY, don't miss this stunner of a day outside. This practice was my prayer today πŸ™ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸŒ€πŸŒΎπŸ‚πŸ

One. Day. At. A. Time... through Covid, through uncertainty, through fear, through power outages... thank you for your support, understanding and for trusting me with your care. All you humans are why I show up and give my all every day.
My self care includes daily meditation, movement (walking, bike riding, jogging & yoga), daily mantras, fruits and veggies, limiting media, time in nature and with loved ones. I hope you can all carve out time to stay strong in mind-body-spirit πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

MOVE THROUGH IT.. whether we like it or not, the only way out is through. Movement is our therapy right now.. if you can breathe, breathe. If you can crawl, crawl. If you can walk, walk. If you can run, then run. If you can swim, swim. If you can bike, bike. If you can yoga, you get it.. I've been asking my 6 and 9 year old children to name 3 things for which they are grateful daily. They began to get bored with me and started repeating, so I said "what is something you've learned?" Their response: not to take life for granted. I'm not sure we all learned that lesson at such a young age, but we know now better than ever. While we are home complaining, some would give anything to breathe on their own, for one more day with their loved ones, and one more stunner of a day like today in NY. I miss you all. Working through the fear, anger, sadness and stress one hour, one day, one week at a time with movement, meditation and prayer. Slowly getting back to work with a limited schedule and navigating this "new normal." No, the old normal is not there waiting. We are changed. But once a valuable colleague gave me a simple but important piece of advice. JUST KEEP GOING. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™
