Frozen meals are convenient but some brands have chemicals that harm our health.

Look out for the following:
-TBHQ (tertiary butylhydroquinone), a preservative linked to immune system problems and an increased risk of food allergies.
-BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene): Preservatives that are potential carcinogens and hormone disruptors.
-Synthetic food dyes (Yellow No. 5, Yellow No. 6, and Red No. 3): These dyes are linked to behavioral problems in children and may be carcinogenic, particularly Red No. 3 (manufacturers have until January 2027 to reformulate food products with Red No. 3).

The FDA has shown limited action in banning these chemicals despite safety concerns. Some states, like California, are taking the initiative to pass bills restricting certain toxic chemicals in food.
