A new report highlights a growing shortage of estradiol (estrogen) patches used in hormone therapy for menopause and perimenopause. That's why we are showing a picture of pills!
The FDA says there’s no “official shortage,” but doctors and pharmacies are reporting real-world gaps in supply as demand for hormone therapy rises. 📈
Many women are now being switched to alternatives like gels, pills, sprays, or other forms of HRT — sometimes with mixed results.
Bottom line: access to menopause care is still inconsistent, and patients are getting caught in the middle. 💛

Endometriosis isn’t “just bad cramps.” 🚨
New research shows endometriosis may actually rewire the body’s metabolism — affecting inflammation, hormones, immune function, fertility, and even how cells produce energy. This may be why some people get relief from GLP1 use while they undergo treatment for their endometriosis! ⚡
Researchers say these metabolic changes may help explain chronic pain, infertility, and why endo can feel like a full-body disease. 💛
Translation: endometriosis is complex, systemic, and VERY real.

Women have been saying IUD insertions are painful for YEARS. 🚨
Now new reporting shows pain management during IUD procedures is still wildly inconsistent — with many patients offered little or no pain control at all. 😵‍💫 We always offer either a cervical block, premedication with anxiety or pain meds, and optional inhaled nitrous oxide! We are listening to our patients and trying to do better!
You deserve options. You deserve to be heard. 💛

Pregnancy high blood pressure isn’t “just pregnancy stuff.” 🚨💔
New research found hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (like preeclampsia + gestational hypertension) are driving a major rise in severe maternal health complications in the US.
Translation: your heart health during pregnancy matters LONG after delivery. 🫶
Early monitoring, blood pressure checks + postpartum care matter more than ever. ✨

Birth plans aren’t just “wish lists” — they may actually improve outcomes 🤰✨
A new report highlights evidence that when women create and communicate birth plans, it can lead to better maternal and newborn outcomes, including more respectful care and a more positive birth experience.
The key idea: when patients are informed, heard, and involved in decision-making, outcomes tend to improve — not just satisfaction, but clinical measures too. 💛
It’s not about controlling birth… it’s about being part of it. 🫶

That “healthy” packaged food? 👀
A new study linked certain food preservatives commonly found in ultra-processed foods to higher risks of high blood pressure + heart disease. 💔
Think: packaged breads, processed meats, sodas, candy, sauces + snacks.
More labels. More ingredients. More reason to pay attention. 🛒✨

“Can I take acetaminophen while pregnant?” 🤰💊
A new report highlights how AI tools are being used to give evidence-based guidance on acetaminophen use during pregnancy — especially as online misinformation spreads.
The key message remains consistent: major medical organizations continue to support acetaminophen as a generally safe option in pregnancy when used appropriately, and current high-quality evidence has not shown a causal link to autism or ADHD.
The goal of these AI tools isn’t to replace your doctor — it’s to help people access clearer, more consistent medical information when the internet gets noisy. 💛

New research 👀✨
Taking higher-dose vitamin D during pregnancy may help support your child’s brain development YEARS later. 🧠💛
A clinical trial found kids whose moms took more vitamin D during pregnancy showed better verbal + visual memory at age 10.
Tiny habit. Long-term impact. ☀️
