I am SO happy to welcome Abbie to the team! She is in training to take over all the front desk and admin tasks for me and be the keeper of boundaries around my schedule (I am not good at that part 😉). As my practice continues to change and grow, Abbie’s calm, grounded presence and warm smile will surely benefit us all!

Just doing what I do. Sometimes a postpartum patient comes to you with a complaint that really isn’t something I can treat. This patient had nothing to treat on both the pelvic floor and orthopedic exams, but she for sure needed vaginal estrogen. Early postpartum hormones are similar to menopause, and things can get cranky. She returned to her OB and asked for local vaginal estrogen. Symptoms were gone. If your pelvic PT doesn’t talk to you about hormones, get yourself a new pelvic PT.

Even if you’re feeling great in your pregnancy, pelvic PT can help you feel more prepared for labor & delivery. I also encourage partner sessions that include your birth partner so they can feel confident in supporting you on the big day. Lastly, we discuss early postpartum recovery, nutrition, sleep support, and warning signs of medical & mental health issues. I LOVE these sessions - empowering moms empowers future generations.
