The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) and the Oregon Department of Emergency Management (OEM) are asking individuals, landowners, producers, volunteers, and community members affected by- or assisting with- the Gilliam and Wheeler County fires to complete the 2026 Wildfire Recovery Surveys. These surveys will help state and local partners coordinate recovery support and identify critical needs across the agriculture and rural communities impacted by the fires.

New evacuation notice. Be aware. Be prepared!

🚨 COTTONWOOD FIRE 0584 🚨
LEVEL 2 — BE SET EVACUATION NOTICE July 23, 2026, at 2:47 p.m.

Due to the Cottonwood Fire, a Level 2 — BE SET evacuation notice has been issued for the following areas:

- All residences from Hay Canyon Road on Mikkalo Lane to Highway 19
- 66979, 66545, 66218, 65834, and 65832 French Charlie Road
- 66984 and 66982 Highway 19
- All residences on Scott Canyon Lane, Pennington Road, and Clem Road

Residents within these areas must be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice.

✅ Stay informed.
✅ Have your evacuation plan and go-kit ready.
✅ Gather medications, important documents, essential belongings, and supplies for pets and livestock.
✅ Leave early if you or a loved one needs additional time to evacuate.
