✔️ Year 4 of guest lecturing at Gannon on various topics such as pelvic health and business ownership and I just have to give a shout-out to their Occupational Therapy program! It is wonderful to see them incorporating these topics into their curriculum and I can’t say enough good things about their staff and students.

We have also partnered with Gannon on various research studies investigating the efficacy of pelvic floor occupational therapy. More to come on that, but spoiler alert - Pelvic floor OT showed a significant improvement in pelvic floor symptoms across the board! It is always wonderful to have research to back up what you already know and see anecdotally. The first study that we did was recently presented at the annual AOTA conference and the abstract will be published in AJOT 🙌🏼👏🏼

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming an OT, Gannon has a great program to look into…and we always need more pelvic health OTs in practice!

Good morning friends! I am so happy to have you here :) Thank you all for being a part of the Humble Bee journey! If you've been following this page for a while, you have probably seen the changes that have happened as I have grown over the years. My goal has always been to combine the stages of life in women's health holistically. I wanted to share with you that I will be introducing a new chapter to Humble Bee very soon that will continue to follow my goal and offer support for another stage in women's health. Stay tuned as I release updates and begin to get back to more aromatherapy focused support

🚨 Live Q&A Coming Up for the 🩸PERIMENOPAUSE DIARIES 🚨

Next Friday, January 30 at 2:30PM, I’m going LIVE with Kayla Heagy, owner of Thrive Pelvic Health and Wellness LLC in Conneaut Lake.
Kayla is an Occupational Therapist who specializes in pelvic health and wellness, and we’re having a real, honest conversation about something many of us start noticing in perimenopause… even if we’re not talking about it yet.

As a woman in perimenopause myself, I’ll just say it out loud 🙋‍♀️
When you sneeze… cough… laugh a little too hard… and your body does something unexpected — you start paying attention to your pelvic health REAL quick.
And I know I’m not alone.

This live is a safe, informative, no-shame space to learn, ask questions and realize that a lot of what we’re experiencing is common — and treatable.

💭 We’ll be covering things like:
• What is the pelvic floor and what does it actually do?
• What affects optimal pelvic floor function?
• How fluctuating hormones in perimenopause impact the pelvic floor
• What pelvic floor therapy looks like (and what it doesn’t)
• What types of interventions are commonly used

✨ I want this to be YOUR conversation too.
Drop your questions in the comments or DM me if you’d prefer to stay anonymous — I’ll ask them for you.

If you’ve ever thought “Is this normal?” or “Why is my body doing this now?” — this live is for you.

🗓 Live on Friday, January 30 at 2:30 PM
Save it, share it with a friend and send those questions my way 💛

So grateful for this sweet patient and her kind words. 🥹

Often for women, pelvic floor symptoms are dismissed as “normal” and just a side effect of having babies, aging, hormones, etc. While certain symptoms may be common during different life seasons, we definitely don’t have to suffer and “deal” with them.

If you are ready to feel more aware, in control, and strong in your core and pelvic floor, ask your doctor for a pelvic floor therapy referral or give us a call and we can answer any questions you may have. We all deserve to feel our best. 💪🏼
