What a wonderful weekend at the Waldensian Festival! 🎉

College Pines Health & Rehabilitation was proud to be a sponsor of the 51st Annual Waldensian Festival in downtown Valdese!

This special community tradition brought everyone together for a weekend filled with history, heritage, great food, live music, local vendors, family fun, and entertainment. From Friday night’s kickoff with classic car cruise-in to Saturday’s festival activities, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

We loved being part of an event that celebrates the rich Waldensian heritage that makes our community so special.

A big thank you to the Town of Valdese, the festival organizers, vendors, performers, volunteers, and everyone who came out to celebrate!

Today, we proudly celebrate 250 years of American independence. A milestone that honors the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit that have shaped our nation since 1776.

As we reflect on this historic anniversary, we are especially grateful for the veterans, service members, first responders, healthcare professionals, and all those who continue to serve our communities with dedication and compassion.

We had a wonderful time supporting the Marion Lake Club Golf Tournament! It was a beautiful Saturday spent connecting with members of our community and cheering on all the golfers.

As National Nursing Assistant Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the incredible CNAs who provide compassionate care, comfort, and support to our residents each and every day. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are truly grateful for all that you do. 💙

Throughout the week, we wanted to show our appreciation with a few special treats and surprises:
🍽️ Monday – Lunch for all staff
🥐 Tuesday – Delicious treats from Gogos Cinnamon Rolls of Old Fort and relaxation provided by Angelic Mobile Massage LLC
🍿 Wednesday – A snack wagon provided by Optum Insurance and UnitedHealthcare
🍬 Thursday – Candy gift bags courtesy of our pharmacy partner, Avendi Rx
🐔🍧 Friday – Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis provided by VIA Health Partners, along with Pelican’s SnoBalls of Valdese

In addition, each CNA was given the opportunity to choose a special gift, a College Pines scrub set, a rain jacket, or a fleece jacket, as a token of our appreciation.

No amount of gifts or words could ever fully express how thankful we are for the work you do. You are the hands that comfort, the smiles that brighten difficult days, and the compassionate hearts that make College Pines Health & Rehabilitation feel like home for our residents and families. Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and the countless ways you go above and beyond every day. We are proud to celebrate YOU! ✨
