✨ Wow, what an absolutely AWESOME weekend! ✨
We are filled with so much gratitude looking back at our 3rd Annual Car Show & Vendor Event. The weather was absolutely perfect, the classic cars and trucks were stunning, our vendors were wonderful, and we loved seeing so many visitors come out to share in the fun! ☀️🚗

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who made this year our biggest and best one yet:

😍Our Amazing Community & Visitors: Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit. Because of you, we had a record-breaking 78 vehicles participate this year!

👏Martina Gesell (Life Enhancement Director): Praise to Martina for beautifully organizing the vendors and leading the planning alongside the Wilsons.

👏Cassie Powell (Head Housekeeper): Thank you to Cassie for being Martina’s incredible right hand throughout the entire process!

😍Rick & Penny Wilson: A huge thank you to Rick and Penny (Son & Daughter in Law of resident Lester Wilson) for coordinating and getting all of these spectacular classic vehicles to come to our community.

We are also incredibly touched and grateful to Rick and Penny for presenting Life Enhancement with a generous $780.00 donation! These funds will go directly toward activities and supplies for our amazing residents. 💵🎨

Thank you all for your incredible support, generosity, and for making our community such a vibrant place to be. We already can't wait for next year! 🗓️✨

Last week was a busy week for our residents.

Not only did they attend the Elders luncheon at the Miller Building, they also got to enjoy Celebration in the Ville on Friday afternoon.

Autumn Trace Senior Communities had a booth at the event and residents could come and hang out or go shopping at all of the unique vendors. Fun was had by all!

Last week our residents attended the Elders Luncheon for all residents of Fayette County 80 years and older. It was a fabulous event hosted by the Connersville Parks & Recreation at the Miller Building.

Lunch was catered by Daniel Girls Farmhouse Restaurant (it was excellent!)

Attendees got to mingle with their friends, enjoy lunch and listen to live music by Stone Soup Jazz.

Thanks to the City of Connersville and all of the volunteers for putting on this event.

This event was also sponsored by Autumn Trace Senior Communities and many other great organizations in Fayette County.

Our residents are such an important part of Connersville and surrounding communities.

Retired journalist Rick Mullen recently upgraded his computer and didn’t know what to do with his old computer and tablet.

Rather than throwing them away, it was recommended that he donate them to a local teacher who helps students repair computers.

Connersville resident Brian Durham teaches computer science to middle schoolers in neighboring Union County.

He focuses on hardware development, repairs and troubleshooting and modernizing. He brings the past to the present and looks to the future from historic perspectives in computing and how computers have developed.

"In 7th grade I became obsessed with computers," Durham said. "I was told if you could put Legos together you could build a computer and that's still true. There are some things that have been fundamental since the Altair 8800 and continue to be, and I try to bring that perspective to kids."

Brian will use this donation as a sample for hardware troubleshooting and help students understand the process of how to fix the problem.

"I think it was Thomas Edison who said something about there are no failures just discovering ways that won't work," Durham said. "That's the application process we take. Start simple and get more complex until we figure it out together."

Thanks, Rick, for helping the future of Computer Technology!!

This week at Autumn Trace Senior Communities-Connersville, residents participated in a Town Hall meeting focused on fire safety, led by Executive Director Hilary Wright.

The session provided a comprehensive overview of the community's advanced safety infrastructure, including:

*24-Hour Surveillance: Continuous monitoring for enhanced security.

*Full Suppression Systems: A 100% sprinkler-protected facility.

*"Defend in Place" Strategy: Specialized emergency protocols for senior living environments.

*Fire-Rated Doors: Structural safeguards to prevent the spread of fire.

*Care Predict System: Real-time monitoring for both staff and residents.

The meeting was well-attended by residents and family members, sparking insightful dialogue during the Q&A session.

To ensure ongoing preparedness, all attendees received a resource packet for future reference.

Proactive initiatives like these are essential to ensuring our residents feel safe, informed, and empowered within their home.

🎁🎄 Kicking off the Holiday Season with First United Methodist! 🎄🎁

A huge thank you to our dear friends from First United Methodist for bringing such joy to our lives today! We had so much fun transforming a simple wooden box into a beautiful nativity scene. The creativity and fellowship were wonderful.

Come join in on the fun with us! We're already looking forward to seeing what they'll come up with in January. 💛
