Act 2 Yoga

Act 2 Yoga Act 2 Yoga isn't just a place, it's a concept. A belief that we can all benefit from the gifts yoga has to offer. There are pinnacle moments in our lives.

Less pain, greater flexibility, reduced stress and mental chatter, and more JOY! Some that, at the time, seem impossible to overcome: loss of a loved one, divorce, accident, injury, and others that don’t seem significant at the time, but have long lasting effects. In all of these moments, we have a choice. We can keep doing the same thing we have always done, even if we know it no longer serves us

, or we can do something different, something better, for our mind, body, and soul. We all have this choice, and I truly believe that yoga and the lessons it brings, can help us navigate the difficult periods in our lives and help us find a deeper mind/body connection that allows us to heal, find joy, and thrive. I believe that yoga is for everybody – and for every body. Yoga is not about having the western media's version of a perfect body, it's a journey. We are here to connect with our imperfect self, and offer it love and light. Act 2 Yoga is about self-expression. It is about feeling good in your own body, regardless of where you are at and where you want to go. It is about recognizing that no matter the moment, taking a moment, to be in the moment, to breath, stretch, connect, and release, will have benefits that will last far longer than the moment itself. If you find these ideas intriguing, Act 2 is for you.

YULE — DAY 1. Of 12.

Starts 20th Dec ..

Midwinter Night (the Sun Is on Life Support)

This is where Yule starts.
Not with singing. Not with vibes.

With the longest, coldest, most suspicious night of the year.

The Norse weren’t being dramatic — midwinter was when you looked at your food stores, the sky, and your neighbours and thought:
“Right. Let’s see who makes it.”

The sun was at its weakest.
Like: “blink twice if you’re still alive” weak.

So this night wasn’t a party.
It was a pause.

You didn’t rush time forward.
You waited to see if the world turned back on.

People stayed close to the fire.
Not for aesthetics — for continuity.

If the hearth went out on Midwinter Night, that wasn’t “oops.”
That was ominous. Fire meant: The family line continues, The house is still claimed, The dark hasn’t won yet, This is also why everything felt… closer....The dead.Dreams.Bad decisions.

Midwinter was believed to loosen the seams of reality just enough that things could slip through. Which is why,

You watched what you said
You didn’t swear stupid oaths
You didn’t act like an idiot, Yule remembers.

And Odin?
He fits here because he’s not festive — he’s observant.

Midwinter is his kind of night....

Quiet
Watchful
Measuring, not rewarding

No lists.
No gifts.
Just “let’s see who you really are when it’s cold and dark.”

So Day 1 isn’t celebration.
It’s the inhale before the year exhales again.
