The University of Central Arkansas Communication Sciences and Disorders program is proud to recognize two outstanding faculty members on their recent promotions!

👏 Dr. Sunjung Kim Thao, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, has been promoted to Full Professor.

👏 Candice Robinson, M.S., CCC-SLP, has been promoted to Senior Clinical Instructor.

These well-deserved promotions reflect their dedication to continued learning, professional growth, and excellence in teaching, clinical education, and service. This exciting next step gives them the opportunity to take what they’ve learned in the classroom and put it into practice while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the field. 🏫🗣️

We’re so grateful for the SLP clinical supervisors who welcome our students, share their expertise, and help guide them as they continue growing into confident clinicians. 🤝💜 Your mentorship makes such a meaningful difference!

Today, we’re celebrating a very special member of the UCA CSD family — Camo! 🐶

As our certified clinical companion, under the supervision of Dr. Sun Thao, Camo brings comfort, companionship, and plenty of smiles to the UCA CSD/SLHC. Whether he’s greeting students, spending time in the clinic, or simply being his lovable self, Camo has a special way of making everyone feel a little more at home.

✨Welcome, UCA CSD Class of 2028! ✨

Our newest cohort has officially started their journey as future speech-language pathologists! They spent orientation day getting to know their classmates, exploring UCA CSD/SLHC, participating in team-building activities, and of course, taking the iconic stair picture! 💜📸

We are so excited to welcome this group to the UCA CSD family and can’t wait to watch them grow into incredible speech-language pathologists! 👩‍🎓🧑‍🎓🐻

🎓✨ Congratulations to our own Dr. Stephanie White! ✨🎓

We are thrilled to celebrate this incredible achievement as Dr. Stephanie White successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation, The Significance of Dichotic Listening Deficit Severity in School-age Children, under the mentorship of Dr. Deborah Moncrieff.

This milestone reflects years of dedication to research, scholarship, and advancing our understanding of auditory processing in children. Dr. White’s work contributes valuable knowledge to the field and will help inform clinical practice and support for school-age learners.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. White on earning her doctorate and this remarkable accomplishment! We are proud to have her as part of the CSD family and look forward to the continued impact of her work.
