This morning, one of our own had the privilege of speaking with a group of workers' compensation nurse case managers about the science of pain and recovery after injury.
The discussion focused on how modern pain science is changing the way healthcare professionals approach rehabilitation, communicate with injured workers, and support successful return-to-work outcomes. Topics included the relationship between pain and tissue healing, the importance of reducing fear, and how consistent messaging across the healthcare team can positively influence recovery.
