Sepsis isn't an infection. It's your body's dangerous, life-threatening overreaction to one, and it can start from almost any infection source. 🚨

The recent loss of NASCAR champion Kyle Busch at just 41, from severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, is a sobering reminder that this can strike anyone, at any age, no matter how healthy.

Know the warning signs using the word TIME:
🌡️ Temperature that's too high or too low
🦠 Infection symptoms
🧠 Mental decline or confusion
🤒 Extremely ill feeling

Sepsis most often follows pneumonia, UTIs, skin infections, abdominal infections, and bloodstream infections. If someone with a known infection suddenly worsens, becomes confused, or has trouble breathing, treat it as a 911 call. With sepsis, every minute counts.

Tee'd off, teed up, and all for a great cause.

Last week's CMC Golf Classic brought our community together for a day of golf, friendly competition, and giving back.
