If you take the time to look around, nature will give plenty to be in awe of. This is pleurotus dryinus, most commonly called Veiled Oyster Mushroom. Honey Creek Woodlands has a variety of fascinating species throughout the preserve.

The sightings of wildlife caught at Honey Creek bridge this week have been spectacular. These birds stay pretty elusive to the camera. So grateful for their appearance and existence here.

This photo was shared by one of our beloved families. Many are familiar with Dumbo, the deer born and raised in the Meadow. He has since moved on to start life as a young buck and only seen a few times in the past 9-10 months. This new born definitely resembles him! Our wildlife are very important in the work that we do. Preservation, conservation, and green burial are all part of the circle of life. To care for all who are on these sacred grounds is an honor for us.

This rainbow was captured in the Pines.
Genesis 9:12-16
And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

We are very appreciative of everyone's patience regarding the road work that was done yesterday. We now added on to the Meadow section. Officially called Meadow 3! We are open :)

This Weeks HCW activity.
Tuesday 6/30 - we will be closed due to extensive roadwork.
Wednesday 7/1 we have 2 burials 10am in Meadow and 3pm in the Pines
Thursday 7/2 1 burial 3pm in the Pines
Friday 7/3 open for visitation.
Saturday 7/4 Office will be closed, but the Preserve will be open for visitors.
