You trust us with your faces, so it seems only fair that you know who we actually are. You may know what we do around here but we realized you may not know quite as much about the people actually doing it, so we’re changing that.

First up: Blakelee. Founder, aesthetic NP, professional overthinker, reluctant extrovert, and the person responsible for both your treatment plans and approximately 97% of the clinic’s “I have an idea…” moments.

Swipe to learn a little about her background, how she approaches aesthetics, what you can expect in her chair, and a few things that have absolutely nothing to do with your face. Why? Because choosing an aesthetic practice is personal. You should know someone’s experience and philosophy before you trust them with your care and we are always transparent about that, but we also think you should know a little about the human being on the other side of the treatment chair.

And Blakelee is only first! We’ll be getting up close + personal with the rest of the Skin + Aesthetics team too… where they came from, what they do here, what makes them exceptionally good at it, and probably a few things they’ll regret telling us. The hardest part of this job isn’t deciding what to offer... It’s deciding what to turn down.

August is Hair Loss Awareness Month, so we’re doing something a little different: showing you our entire hair loss menu and the list of things we’ve said no to. Both, in the same post!

Here’s what’s on the menu -> PRP, scalp microneedling, prescriptions, supplementation, and HydraScalp. Some of it is backed by decades of randomized trials, some of it is backed by one good pilot study, and we say so. You deserve to know the difference before you spend a dollar.

Here’s what isn’t on the menu, and why -> Injected exosomes, growth factor products labeled topical-only but injected anyway, and polynucleotide injections. None of it is bad science, FYI! Some of it is genuinely exciting, but none is FDA-approved for injection in this country and we can’t ask you to consent to that. And we are honestly in saying that there “no”s aren’t a not never, they’re a not yet.

Hair loss is multifactorial with causes like hormones, iron, thyroid, stress, genetics, or inflammation, so we start with a workup, not a treatment… and nobody here is going to sell you one thing.

The best fall skin doesn’t start in October. It starts NOW. 🍂

One thing we do differently as aesthetic providers is think months ahead. The treatments that create some of the biggest transformations (like chemical peels, laser resurfacing, collagen stimulation, and corrective skincare) aren’t last-minute treatments. They require planning, sometimes a prior consultation, preparation, and time for your skin to do what it does best: heal and rebuild.
