AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!! Through our friends at Tennessee Dachshund Rescue - please contact them directly if you’re interested in this sweet baby! ❤️

Here’s a post we bet you didn’t expect from a Dachshund rescue.

Y’all may remember Mama June and her five puppies from December 2024. We had no idea who dad was, but we made a promise to find them all loving homes, and we did.

Unfortunately, due to a change in circumstances through no fault of his own, Huey is now being surrendered back to us.
And friends, Huey is not exactly your standard-issue low-rider anymore. This boy grew. A lot.

Huey is now almost a year and a half old and weighs approximately 45 pounds. He’s sweet, playful, and FULL of energy. He just really needs space to run, play, and be a dog. He would do best in a home with a big fenced in yard, another playful dog, or someone active who can give him the time and attention he thrives on.

We truly think he would flourish in an environment where he has more room to burn off all that young dog energy.

Huey deserves a chance to land where he can stretch his legs, play hard, and be loved for the big, goofy, sweet boy he turned out to be.

So yes, Tennessee Dachshund Rescue is asking for help with a not so dachshund, dachshund mix.

Because rescue is rescue, and Huey still matters.
Please share this post and let’s find Huey his new furever!

You can apply to adopt Huey here 👉

Huey is in the Cookeville area.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there — especially the pet moms who treat their furry family members like children (because let’s be honest… they are 😅🐾)

Today we celebrate the moms who:
• have a camera roll full of pet photos
• share snacks they swore they wouldn’t share
• know the difference between a “feed me” bark and an “I threw up” bark
• say “we are NOT getting another pet” … and then somehow do 😂

From all of us at Copeland Veterinary Hospital, thank you for the love, cuddles, treats, and endless care you give your pets every single day. 💙

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸🐶🐱

Ticks aren’t just a concern for dogs—cats are at risk too.

Cats can develop serious tick-borne diseases from a single bite, including cytauxzoonosis and hemotropic mycoplasma infections. Early signs can be subtle, like fever, lethargy, or loss of appetite.

Because treatment can be difficult once symptoms appear, prevention is key:

•Use veterinarian-approved flea & tick prevention year-round
• Keep cats indoors when possible
• Check your pet after outdoor exposure

Questions about protection for your cat? Copeland Veterinary Hospital is here to help.
