A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has already donated! Every bag, every can, every treat, and every act of kindness is making a difference. These precious doggies and kitties in Colombia need our help, and LeadER is so proud to be part of this important mission. A very special thank you to our Cardiology Nurse, Diana, for putting this wonderful effort together for LeadER and helping make it all possible! 🇨🇴❤️🐾

We will be bringing all of your generous donations to the foundations helping with this mission, who will make sure these much-needed supplies reach the animals in Colombia. While we are so grateful for the recognition, we want to turn that appreciation right back to the amazing people at Dachshund Rescue South Florida. What you do every single day to rescue, protect, heal, and fight for precious little souls like Abby—and so many, many others—is truly extraordinary. You are angels on this earth, giving these beautiful animals a second chance when they need it most. 🐶💕
We are honored to be a part of Abby’s journey and so happy to see her through surgery and onto the road to recovery. It is our privilege to be here whenever your rescue babies need us.

We are asking our wonderful LeadER followers, friends, and community to please help if you are able. ❤️ Following the devastating earthquake in Colombia, so many dogs and cats have been left scared, hungry, injured, and without homes. We are collecting pet food and supplies at both LeadER Animal Specialty Hospital locations in Cooper City and Boca Raton to help provide much-needed support to these animals. Every donation, big or small, can make a difference. Please consider dropping off dog or cat food, treats, nutritional supplements, or other pet supplies at LeadER Cooper City or LeadER Boca Raton to help us send love and hope to Colombia. 🇨🇴🐶🐱

This beautiful little girl was found on 59th Court in the Flamingo Gardens East neighborhood of Cooper City.
She was found wearing a little dress, so we have no doubt she has a loving family who is missing her very much. ❤️

📚🎒 Back to School = A Big Adjustment for Our Furry Loved Ones! 🐶🐱

As the kids head back to school, remember that your dogs and cats may also need time to adjust. After enjoying a summer full of extra attention, playtime, and companionship, a suddenly quiet house can be confusing and even stressful.
Here are a few tips to help make the transition easier:
🐾 Start getting back into your normal routine a few days before school begins.
🐾 Keep feeding, walks, and potty breaks on a consistent schedule.
🐾 Leave favorite toys, puzzle feeders, or treat-dispensing toys to keep them occupied.
🐾 Turn on soft music or the TV to provide comforting background noise.
🐾 Make sure they get plenty of exercise before everyone leaves for the day.
🐾 Watch for signs of separation anxiety, such as excessive barking, destructive behavior, pacing, or inappropriate elimination.
🐾 If possible, arrange for a midday walk or visit from a family member, friend, or pet sitter during the first week.
Most pets adjust within a couple of weeks with patience and consistency. If your pet seems unusually anxious or their behavior changes significantly, don’t hesitate to speak with your veterinarian.
