Coming off GLP-1s? This is the part no one really prepares you for

It’s easy to think it’s just about eating less and keeping the weight off, but your body is doing so much more behind the scenes. These medications help quiet hunger and stabilize blood sugar, but they don’t rebuild the deeper metabolic systems that actually support long term results.

Things like insulin sensitivity, muscle mass, stress, and metabolic flexibility all play a role, and when they’re not addressed, the body can slowly drift back into old patterns once the medication is reduced or stopped. The truth is, the real work often begins after the weight loss.

In this episode, I walk you through what’s actually happening beneath the surface and how to approach this transition in a more thoughtful, sustainable way.

A new episode is out, and we’re diving into what’s really happening in menopause, especially when it comes to cholesterol and that shift toward belly fat, because despite what most women are told, it’s not just about “gaining weight.”

What’s actually happening is a change in fat distribution driven by hormonal shifts, where estrogen once helped direct fat storage into the hips and thighs — areas that are more metabolically quiet and less inflammatory, but as estrogen declines, that signaling changes and fat is more likely to be stored around the abdomen, where it behaves very differently and is more closely tied to inflammation and insulin resistance.

So it’s not simply that weight is increasing, it’s that the metabolic environment is shifting, and that distinction matters.

In this episode, we break down what’s actually happening in midlife physiology and how to approach it in a smarter, more strategic way, rather than just reacting to the numbers. Listen on YouTube and all podcast platforms. Link in bio!
