But consider what is actually being said.

And those ligaments perform a critically important job:

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗲.

When trauma damages these stabilizing structures, excessive motion and spinal instability can result.

So perhaps the better question isn't:

❌ “𝗜𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁-𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆?”

The better questions are:
