We also have plenty of dementia education and resources available. Whether you have questions about memory care, are currently supporting a loved one living with dementia, or simply want to learn more, we would love to visit with you.

📣 POWER OF ATTORNEY SEMINAR — THIS SATURDAY!

Please join us this Saturday from 1:00–3:00 PM for a FREE Power of Attorney Seminar.

Having a Power of Attorney in place is an important step in making sure someone you trust can act on your behalf when needed. During this informative seminar, we’ll discuss:

💜 The importance of having a Power of Attorney
💚 How to designate the person you trust
💜 What the Power of Attorney process involves
💚 The opportunity to complete your Power of Attorney paperwork during the seminar

Important: Both the person granting Power of Attorney and the person being designated must be present to complete the paperwork.

🖊️ Notarization is available for a $10 fee.
✨ The seminar itself is FREE!

💜 Our 7th Annual Coastal Memory Walk was one for the books! 💜

What a beautiful and meaningful day filled with memories, connection, laughter, love, and community.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, donated, helped with preparations, and came together to make today such a wonderful success. Every person involved played a special part in making this year’s walk truly unforgettable.

Together, we walked in honor of those we love, those we remember, and everyone whose life has been touched by Alzheimer’s and dementia. 💜

We are already looking forward to the 8th Annual Coastal Memory Walk next year!

💜 A Beautiful Tribute at the 7th Annual Coastal Memory Walk 💜

A heartfelt thank you to Circles in the Sand for creating this beautiful and meaningful memorial at our 7th Annual Coastal Memory Walk.

The impact of seeing this incredible tribute was truly moving. It created such a special space to remember, honor, and celebrate those whose lives have been touched by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

There was so much love, remembrance, and hope represented today. We are incredibly grateful to Circles in the Sand for sharing their time and talent and helping make this year's walk so meaningful. 💜

💜 Getting Ready for the Coastal Memory Walk! 💜

We had such a wonderful and memorable time today setting up for tomorrow’s Coastal Memory Walk! Candace, our Sales and Marketing Director, and Jessi, our Executive Director, had a fantastic time working alongside our community partners and volunteers—especially while creating the beautiful balloon arch for tomorrow’s walk! 🎈💜

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came together to help make this event possible, including Pacific View Senior Living, South Coast Hospice, Bayside Terrace by Cogir, Ocean Ridge by Cogir, and the many incredible volunteers who generously gave their time and energy.

It’s amazing what can happen when our community comes together for a cause that touches so many families. 💜

Please join us tomorrow from 9am-noon in Bandon! We will be there selling our "Cocoa for a Cause" and greeting all of the participants. We are excited to see you there in support of this worthy cause.

Community, Connection & a Seat at the Table 💜💚

Once a month, we invite all of our residents to come together for a special Community Luncheon—an afternoon filled with wonderful food, live entertainment, laughter, and friendship.

Today, our culinary team prepared a delicious banquet-style meal featuring spaghetti and meatballs, garlic bread, a fresh spring salad, and homemade lemon-strawberry cannolis. 🍝🍓

With live music playing and friends gathered around the table, it was about so much more than a meal. These moments create opportunities for fellowship, friendship, laughter, and meaningful connection—things that are so important to quality of life and emotional well-being.

At New Friends of Coos Bay, we believe memory care should feel like a community. We want our residents to have opportunities to gather, celebrate, share a meal, enjoy music, and simply enjoy being together.
