Five years ago, we lost a dedicated officer, a husband, and a father.
On March 25, 2021, Corporal Kyle Jeffrey Davis of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma, was killed in the line of duty during a booking process inside the correctional facility.
What began as a routine intake quickly turned violent. In the course of doing his job—protecting others and maintaining order—Corporal Davis suffered a fatal injury. He gave 13 years of service to his community, and in a single moment, his family, his agency, and the entire corrections profession felt the weight of that loss.
Kyle was more than a uniform. He was a devoted husband, a proud father of two, and someone who found joy in the outdoors—hunting, fishing, and spending time with those he loved most.
💙 Today, we remember his service, his sacrifice, and the life he lived beyond the badge.
We invite you to take a moment to reflect and honor Corporal Davis.
