What I actually do to keep my skin steady all year, as an injector in Coral Gables.

Correction, then consistency. Skin health first, then holistic neurotoxin placed where movement is creating the line, then facial balancing only where something needs support.

Nothing here is dramatic. That is the point. My skin looks like my skin, in every season, in every photo.

Save this as your year round rhythm.

Balanced by Steph, our signature facial balancing technique, is mapped to your face before anything is treated. Refreshed, renewed, never unlike yourself.

I got asked what my routine looks like and I realized almost none of it is product.

The slow morning changed everything. I don’t book before ten anymore. Coffee, the dog, my skin, no phone. I spent years starting the day already behind, and it showed on my face long before it showed anywhere else. My patients get a better version of me because I stopped handing them the leftovers.

The eight dollar coffee isn’t about coffee. It’s twelve minutes in the Gables where nobody needs an answer from me. Some days it’s the only part I’d call mine.

Slide five is my current personality. I had an idea on a Tuesday and a working patient portal by Wednesday. I’m a nurse practitioner. I did not go to school for a single part of that. But nobody was going to build the thing in my head the way I wanted it built, so I did.

The vials are a real problem and I’m not fixing it.

Here’s what I noticed writing this out. Not one of these things asked me to become someone else. They just held up what was already there, on the days I couldn’t hold it up myself.

That’s the same thing I’m doing when I map a face. I’m not looking for what to change about you. I’m looking for what’s already yours and what it needs to be supported.

You should leave looking like you on your best day. Not like someone else on theirs.

Tell me one of yours below. I’ll go first, it’s the coffee.

Skilled hands deserve a real roadmap.

The Plump Room Academy is where artistry meets business; a growing community for injectors who want to master both.

Whether you’re a new injector still finding your hands, or an experienced one who’s realized technique alone doesn’t build a practice, there *is* a way in for you:

1️⃣ Private & semi-private in-person training
Hands-on, small-group, and built around *your* gaps. Not a generic curriculum. Not a room of 40 people watching a screen.

2️⃣ The Hub, our injector community on WhatsApp**
Application-based, intentionally. Real cases, real questions, real answers — from injectors who actually want you to win.

3️⃣ Injector meet & greet events
Because this industry gets lonely, and your network is your net worth.

4️⃣ Something we’ve never released before. Launching next month 🤫
A one-of-a-kind digital product. Everything I’ve learned about assessment, artistry, pricing, retention, and the systems that turn a skilled injector into a thriving one. No gatekeeping, no watered-down version. Stay tuned.

And one more thing… an injector-led retreat is coming. For us, by us. 🤍

We believe great injectors are *built, not born.* So we develop the whole injector. Your hands, your eye, and your business mind.

Save this. Share it with the injector who needs it. Follow The Plump Room Academy | Injector Education so you’re here when it drops.

I was trained to believe the whole face lived in two places. Smile lines and lips.

That was the world I came up in. You learn what you are exposed to, and what you are exposed to becomes what you think is possible. So I got very good at treating the center of the face, and I kept ending up with patients who were happy with the area we treated and still unhappy in the mirror.

They could not name why. I could not either, not at first.

Here is what I eventually understood. The center of the face is what we all look at, because it is where we make eye contact and where we speak from. So that is where a patient points. But smile lines deepening is often a story that started higher, in the temples and the cheeks, where volume left quietly and the tissue came down. Treat the fold alone and you have addressed the ending of the story and none of it.

The same is true for expression lines across the forehead when the brow is no longer supported, and for a heavy lower face when the jaw was never mapped.

Most people have no idea any of this is available to them, because nobody showed them. Their reference for aesthetics is a lip and a smile line, so that is what they ask for, and a lot of injectors are happy to just do the asking.

I stopped working that way years ago. Now nothing is placed until the whole face is mapped and I understand what is supporting what, and in what order it should be treated so results build correctly over time.

That is facial balancing in Coral Gables the way I practice it. Individualized, holistic, discreet. Your features complemented and supported, never changed. Refreshed and renewed, and never unlike yourself.

If you have been treating one area for years and still feel like something is off, you were probably right.

Your face is handled. Your neck, probably.

Then you glance down.

Hands are the most sun exposed skin on the body and the least protected. Years of driving, school pickup, weekends outside. Pigment settles, texture changes, and suddenly there is a gap between how you look and how you feel.

I treat hands the same way I approach the face. We look at the whole picture first, then decide what actually needs support. Moxi softens pigment and evens texture with minimal downtime, which matters when your week does not pause for recovery.

Refreshed. Renewed. Still entirely you.

I am booking hand treatments alongside your next visit. Send me a message and we will map it out together.

“I look tired in every photo.”

She is 35, she sleeps fine, and concealer was settling into her under eyes by noon. Every mirror check said the same thing. Tired. Heavy. Not her.

Here is what most women are never told: the under eye is rarely the problem. It is the messenger.

When the midface loses support, the cheek no longer holds the lower eyelid up. A shadow forms. Expression lines deepen. The jawline softens. You start looking tired in photos before you ever feel tired.

So we did not treat her under eyes.

We mapped her whole face first, then supported the structure underneath. The shadow softened on its own. The jawline read cleaner. Same features, same expressions, same woman. Just refreshed.

This is facial balancing, and it is the only way I treat.

If you are in your 30s, 40s, or 50s and you are seeing hollowing, expression lines, or that tired look that rest does not fix, you do not need more product. You need a map.

Facial balancing in Coral Gables, by appointment. Nine years injecting, four years building this practice, and a room full of women who still look exactly like themselves.

If your skin hurts, this one is for you.

Not the occasional breakout. I mean the skin that stings when you wash it. That flushes in the car on the way home. That reacts to the serum everyone else swears by, so you have a drawer full of products you paid for and cannot use. Skin that is calm for four days and then, with no warning, is not.

I lived there. Rosacea, a barrier so reactive I could barely tolerate anything, cystic acne along my jawline, puffiness and redness that made me look inflamed even on the days I felt good. The advice I kept getting was to do more, go harder, strip it down. Every time I did, it set me back.

What actually changed my skin was correction that never bullied it. Leah treats mine as a barrier that needs to be rebuilt first, then supported, then stimulated. Never all at once, and never faster than my skin can hold. Calming and correcting in the same visit, sequenced so nothing I gain gets undone the following week.

That is the whole philosophy here. Skin like ours does not need to be attacked. It needs to be understood, mapped, and treated in an order that respects what it can tolerate today, not what a protocol says it should tolerate.

You can have stable skin. It is not too far gone, and you are not too sensitive to be treated. You have just been treated too aggressively.

If you have been quietly living around your skin, book The Revision with Leah | NP • Skin • Laser. Link in bio.
