Painful bumps that keep returning aren't always something to ignore.

Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease that can cause recurring nodules, scarring, and significant discomfort.

Early diagnosis makes a difference.

I've also created a ShopMyShelf collection with dermatologist-selected products that can help support sensitive HS-prone skin between visits.

If you're struggling with recurring painful bumps, schedule a dermatology consultation to receive a personalized treatment plan.

🔥 Your skin can remember where the heat came from.

That unusual net-like discoloration isn't always sun damage.

When I see a pattern like this, I also think about repeated heat exposure, heating pads, laptops, and other everyday sources can leave a very specific mark on the skin.

If you’ve noticed an unexplained change in your skin, don’t guess, let’s find out what’s behind it.

Here's a fact most people have never heard...

Hives (urticaria) don't always stay in one place.

One itchy welt may disappear within a few hours while a completely new one appears somewhere else on your body. That's one of the biggest clues that helps dermatologists recognize hives.

Because of this, hives are often confused with:
- Mosquito or insect bites 🦟
- Heat rash
- Allergic skin reactions

If your rash keeps coming back, is intensely itchy, or you have difficulty breathing…

Summer often brings one frustrating skin concern back into the spotlight: melasma. ☀️

Many people assume it's "just sun damage," but melasma is actually influenced by a combination of UV exposure, heat, hormones, and genetics.

For some patients, topical products alone may not provide the improvement they're hoping for. That's why I offer MultiFrax® Laser as one of several treatment options for appropriate candidates.

Every skin journey is unique, and the best place to start is with a personalized consultation.

One breakout can leave a mark long after the pimple disappears.

Those dark spots that linger after acne often aren't true scars, they're called post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), and they're especially common in medium to darker skin tones.

📍If you're struggling with acne or stubborn dark spots, I'd love to help create a treatment plan that's right for your skin.

If your rash improved for a few days with hydrocortisone… and then suddenly got worse, that’s a red flag.

Steroid creams can temporarily calm inflammation. But if the rash is fungal, they allow the infection to spread deeper while masking the symptoms.

This is called steroid-modified tinea, and I see it often. A spreading circular rash is not something to guess on.

Early antifungal treatment shortens recovery and prevents transmission.

2 months. Real progress. Real patience.

Melasma isn't "just a dark spot" especially in melanated skin, where pigment-producing cells are more reactive to sunlight, heat, and inflammation.

That means even small triggers can make discoloration more noticeable.

If you're struggling with stubborn pigmentation, don't self-diagnose or chase trends online.

The best results start with understanding why your melasma developed in the first place.
