More Security Officers. Still No Security Plan?

Texas's new school event safety requirements are a reminder of a critical principle that applies to every large gathering: Security starts with planning, not just personnel.

Who is in command? How do security teams communicate? Where is the emergency medical equipment? How will first responders access the venue?

These questions must be answered before the crowd arrives, not when an emergency begins.

In this edition of Dynamic Talks Security, Zeev Fragachan, Security Expert at Dynamic Integrated Security, highlights why operational readiness is essential to effective event security.

More officers are not a substitute for a security plan.

**LESSONS LEARNED: One Phone Call Can Make a Difference**

What if preventing a tragedy starts with someone simply speaking up?

In Illinois, police recently arrested a man accused of planning a mass shooting at a Hindu temple.

The suspect allegedly talked about his violent intentions at work. One coworker took the threat seriously and reported it to police.

That report helped launch an investigation.

It's a powerful reminder that protecting people isn't just about cameras, alarms, or security officers.

It's also about ordinary people who recognize warning signs and dare to report them.

**You don't have to be a security professional to help prevent violence.**

At Dynamic Integrated Security, we study real incidents to understand what happened, what worked, and what we can learn to better protect our communities.

Because sometimes, one phone call can make all the difference.

A new investigation in Australia found that schools were warned about a serious security problem, but not every school fixed it — and the education department did not have an effective way to verify that the required work had been completed.
Later, an attacker gained access to a school computer system and stole information connected to many students.
The lesson goes beyond cybersecurity.
In security management, sending instructions is not the same as confirming that those instructions were followed.
Whether we are talking about access control, cameras, emergency procedures, training, or technology, effective security requires three things:
Communicate. Verify. Correct.
A policy only works when there is accountability behind it.
Security does not end when instructions are given. It begins when compliance is verified.

Sometimes the warning comes before the emergency.
In a recent school shooting in the Philippines, authorities reported that the student had warned classmates about what he planned to do after lunch. They thought he was joking.
That detail matters.
Schools need environments where students feel comfortable reporting concerns, where those concerns are properly evaluated, and where families understand the importance of keeping fi****ms inaccessible to minors.
No single measure can prevent every incident. But reporting, threat assessment, communication, training, and early action can create opportunities to intervene before a situation becomes a tragedy.
At Dynamic Integrated Security, we study incidents around the world because every case can teach us something about protecting schools here at home.
Prevention starts with reporting, evaluation, and early action.

School threats are changing.

Recent incidents in France show how the security environment around schools is evolving.

The threat may not always be a fi***rm.
It may come from a student, a former student, a parent, or someone who has legitimate access to the campus.
And in some cases, teachers and school staff are becoming direct targets.

That is why school security cannot be based only on what happened yesterday.

At Dynamic Integrated Security, we study incidents in the U.S. and around the world to understand what changed, what failed, what worked, and what lessons can be applied here.

Because prevention begins with understanding how the threat is changing.

Learn the lesson before it happens here.

As long as you are in those schools, those kids are your kids.”

That statement captures the philosophy behind everything we do at Dynamic Integrated Security.

Parents deserve to leave their children at school knowing that trained professionals are there to help protect them. Teachers and school staff deserve that same protection.

For our Safe School Officers, this responsibility goes far beyond simply responding when an emergency occurs. They are already inside the school. They are the first responders.

That is why we take training seriously. Every officer who enters a school represents not only Dynamic Integrated Security, but also the program, the community, and the trust that families place in the people responsible for protecting their children.

Our goal is the same every day:

Protect the students. Protect the staff. Help everyone go home safely.

Because school safety is not just about presence.
It is about preparation, responsibility, and commitment.
