ANNOUNCING our new Teen Anxiety Workshop! Feb 18,2023
Does your teen isolate/avoid social settings, appear irritable, fear criticism, avoid difficult or new situations, have trouble sleeping or concentrating, have a sudden drop in grades, or commonly complain about stomachaches or headaches without cause?
If your teen is struggling with one or more of these symptoms, this could be a response to anxiety.
Teenage anxiety is on the rise and according to the National Institutes of Health, nearly 1 in 3 of all adolescents ages 13 to 18 will experience an anxiety disorder. Newer research shows that
the COVID-19 pandemic has further increased the number of teens affected by anxiety.
Teenage anxiety can sometimes be hard to spot as they often struggle with internal thoughts/worries that create anxiety, whereas younger children often struggle with external
fears (monsters, ghosts, etc.)
This workshop has been designed to educate your teen on anxiety and help them acquire coping skills to better manage their anxiety symptoms throughout their lifetime.
In this workshop your teen will receive:
- Psychoeducation on anxiety
- Common thinking errors that lead to anxiety
- Various coping and emotional regulation skills
- CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) exercises/worksheets
-
This is a workshop facilitated by: Samantha Brazen, LMHC, NCC
Cost: $150 per intake session, $180 for three group sessions
