Let’s start with this… no broken bones, a few scraped-up knees and hands, and a whole lot of cups filled with joy, laughter, accomplishment, and connection.

Each year, as we drive across the endless Nebraska prairies on our way to Colorado, I think to myself… I need to change the location of next year’s adventure. That’s how everyone else does this retreat business, shouldn’t I????

Then the Rockies come into view, and I think, Well… we COULD change the location.

By the end of the week, after all the challenges we’ve faced, the beauty we’ve witnessed, and the incredible terrain we’ve explored, I always come to the same conclusion…

The Beyond Barriers Colorado 2026 adventure was one for the books. Even though we climb mountains every year, no two adventures are ever the same... because we aren't the same.

These July weeks in the mountains change us. They alter our chemistry and EXPAND what each of us believes is possible.

This year, as I share the story of our week, I’m going to invite the women of Beyond Barriers to tell their own stories, in their own words from each day’s adventure.

This experience isn’t about one person, one event, or one mountain.

Beyond Barriers has never been about a single moment. It’s a collection of stories… individual journeys woven together into something bigger than any one of us.

This is our story. Our growth. Our change..

And it was filled with more magic than we can wait to share with all of you.
