Did you know that July is Disability Pride Month? The pride flag for this month has the colors red, gold, white, blue, and green. These colors stand for physical disabilities, neurodiversity, invisible and undiagnosed disabilities, mental illness/disabilities, and sensory disabilities, respectively! The faded black background is for victims of ableist violence. The diagonal band cuts across the barriers that separate the disabled from the rest of society, also representing light cutting through the darkness!
