πŸŽ‰ Please join us in welcoming Grace Bischke (Foss), PT, DPT, to the Performance Therapies team!

Grace is now seeing patients at our Coralville clinic and is excited to help individuals recover from injury, reduce pain, and get back to doing what they love.

Grace's passion for physical therapy began after experiencing a serious hip injury as a high school dancer. Through her own rehabilitation journey, she discovered the difference a compassionate physical therapist can make, not just in recovery, but in a person's life. That experience inspired her to pursue a career focused on helping others move better and feel their best.

After earning her undergraduate degree from St. Olaf College and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Minnesota, Grace completed multiple outpatient clinical rotations, including one right here at Performance Therapies.

We're excited to officially welcome her back to the team!

Whether you're recovering from surgery, dealing with a sports injury, or looking to move without pain, Grace is here to help.

Is running pain putting you on the sidelines? Two of the most common issues we see are Achilles tendonitis and IT band pain, and the right exercises can make a big difference.

βœ… For Achilles tendonitis: Load the tendon with calf raises off a step and add heavy soleus isometric holds to help reduce pain and build strength.

βœ… For IT band pain: Strengthen your hips and glutes with side plank clamshells, then improve knee control with lateral step-downs.

πŸ’‘ Consistency is key! Perform these exercises daily, increase your mileage gradually, and keep your body strong so you can stay on the road, not the sidelines.

If pain is lingering or keeping you from doing what you love, our physical therapists can help you get back to running safely and confidently.
