Last week, we turned back the clock and turned up the music with an impromptu Sock Hop Dance Party! 🎶🕺💃

Sometimes the best moments are the ones you don’t plan! Our Tapestry residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with classic oldies, plenty of dancing, singing along, and lots of laughter. From tapping toes to showing off a few favorite dance moves, the music brought everyone together and made it hard to stay in our seats!

There’s just something about hearing a favorite song from years gone by that can instantly bring back wonderful memories. ❤️ We had such a fun time letting loose, enjoying each other’s company, and making some new memories along the way.

At Tapestry, you never know when a regular afternoon might turn into a dance party! 🎵✨

There’s nothing quite like a front porch, a cold glass of lemonade, and the songs that bring back the best memories! 🍋🎶

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing Lemonade & Oldies Front Porch Social, soaking up the summer weather while sipping refreshing lemonade and listening to some favorite oldies. There was plenty of singing along, reminiscing, laughter, and good conversation as familiar tunes filled the air.

Sunday, August 9th was our raindate for our 3rd Annual Veterans Car Show. We may have had a fraction of the cars/trucks/bikes we had last year but it was still a great day!

🏇 And they’re off! 🏇

Our Golden Thread residents were off to the races today with our very own Homemade Horse Race Game! With plenty of cheering, Mulligan Square turned into our own personal racetrack.

Sometimes the simplest homemade games bring out the biggest smiles—and this one was definitely a winner with our Golden Thread crew! ❤️

We’ve loved having Reagan as part of our Life Enrichment team this summer and are so thankful for all of her help, hard work, and the smiles she brought to our residents along the way. She jumped right in and helped make our summer activities extra special!

A little tropical escape right here at Tapestry! 🌴🎨🌺

Today’s Paint & Sip gave our Golden Thread residents a chance to slow down, get creative, and enjoy an afternoon together. With tropical scenes as our inspiration, everyone picked up a paintbrush and created their own version of paradise. One of the best parts was seeing how differently each painting turned out—even though everyone started with the same idea!

Of course, a Paint & Sip wouldn’t be complete without a little something to sip and snack on. Sparkling grape juice and cookies made the perfect treats while we painted, chatted, laughed, and admired each other’s work. 🍇🥂🍪

There’s something special about an afternoon filled with good company, a little creativity, and plenty of smiles. Our artists definitely brought the tropics to Tapestry today! ☀️🌴🎨

Tuesday, August 11, was an amazing afternoon spoiling our education heroes! Or angels, as I call them! This was Tapestry Senior Living Moon's first Teacher Supply Drive. It will not be the last.
We even had extra supplies that we were able to donate to New Horizon School in need amidst a crisis, losing all their supplies! Thank you, Jodi K., for being our transport of all those supplies!

Our Golden Thread residents got creative today with a fun mosaic art craft using colorful construction paper! 🖼️✂️

Residents carefully tore and arranged small pieces of paper to create their own unique mosaic designs. It was a wonderful opportunity to work on creativity, fine motor skills, concentration, and self-expression—all while enjoying some good conversation and plenty of smiles! 💛

Every masterpiece was as unique as the resident who created it, and we loved seeing their creativity shine! 🎨
