Our Excecutive Director, Bobby Meadows, and Assistant Executive Director, Stephanie Wiliford, attended the THCA Healthcare Conference to discuss the future of senior care and connect with partners in Tennessee. I love treats and I’ll do fun tricks for them!

I inspect MJHR cars to make sure they’re always in tip-top shape.

I love to dress up, especially during theme days at the Home!

I’m still learning how to do some of the tricks, but I always give it my best.

I love to play with MJHR staff!

I love being a little funny because the residents always love it.

I love playing in the mud, even when I’m not supposed to.

MJHR residents have been enjoying fresh watermelon this summer from our patches. Watermelon socials for fun to celebrating national watermelon day; we’re all stocked up. One of our amazing nurses, Bertha, planted watermelon seeds earlier in the year so that by summer time, we’d have a five full patches to choose from. Her thoughtful and fun gardening idea has definitely reaped amazing benefits for the Home!

What an amazing night celebrating Doris Vassar, our Director of Activities, at the Memphis Business Journal’s Health Care Heroes celebration! We are so grateful they publicly recognized all of Doris’s effort to fill our residents’ days with joy and passion. She works tirelessly and is well-deserving of this recognition. Congratulations to all other honorees - we have such an amazing group of talent in our field - especially Dr. James Downing, retiring CEO of St. Jude, for his lifetime achievement award.

We are still feeling the excitement of Community Day yesterday! The Home was filled with the laughter and joy of residents, families, and volunteers. The residents enjoyed games like The Price Is Right, Family Feud, and Bingo, participated in art projects, celebrated with a resident parade, and more!

This amazing day was made possible by our community of families, volunteers, and donors. We are genuinely so thankful. Stay on the lookout for more fun events this year as we start our Centennial Celebration.
