🐞🌿 This week at Rooted & Regulated, we explored the wonderful world of bugs and insects!

Friends searched for hidden bugs in the sensory station, created ladybug fingerprint art, moved and sang along to bug-themed songs, explored sensory bottles and books in our quiet space, enjoyed water play with friends, and even observed and fed our bunny friends together🐰

Through play, they were building so many important skills including sensory processing, fine motor coordination, hand strength, social interaction, communication, body awareness, creativity, and self-regulation, all while connecting with nature and each other💚

Thank you to the wonderful families who joined us for another morning of outdoor play, connection, and discovery!

🌾New Flexible Attendance Option for Fields & Forests!🌲

To better accommodate summer schedules, participants can now choose the dates that work best for their family, attending anywhere from 2–6 sessions throughout the program.

Fields & Forests is a nature-based enrichment program for ages 10–14 focused on building practical outdoor skills, confidence, responsibility, and teamwork through hands-on experiences in nature.

🌷 Our Rooted & Regulated Play Group is in full bloom 🌷

This week’s Spring Blooms theme invited little ones to explore nature through sensory-rich, hands-on play. We made flower soup, created flower prints, sang songs, moved our bodies, and enjoyed time outdoors together.

While the children were having fun, they were also building important skills like fine motor coordination, sensory processing, creativity, body awareness, social participation, and emotional regulation. Most importantly, they were connecting with nature, each other, and the joy of play.

Thank you to the families who joined us for our very first group. I can’t wait to see what grows in the weeks ahead! 🌱

🌲 Fields & Forests Registration is Now Open! 🌲

Where practical skills, confidence, and community grow together.

We are excited to launch the first season of Fields & Forests, a new nature-based enrichment program for youth ages 10–14 at Willow Tree!

This summer’s 6-week program will focus on building practical outdoor skills, confidence, responsibility, and teamwork through hands-on experiences in nature. Participants will develop foundational wilderness readiness and bushcraft skills while learning through real-world challenges, shared work, and meaningful connection.

🌱 Plant identification
🥕 Gardening & land stewardship

While this summer session focuses on outdoor skills and wilderness readiness, Fields & Forests is part of a broader vision to help youth develop confidence, capability, practical life skills, and meaningful community connection through hands-on experiences rooted in nature and everyday life.

Our Summer Snapshot program is a special six-week session of sunshine, connection, play, and community for children ages 3–10.

Each summer, familiar faces return and new friendships begin as children reconnect with old friends while making new ones along the way. There’s something especially meaningful about watching friendships pick right back up year after year. 💛

Our days are filled with the simple joys of childhood:

🎨 Open-ended creativity & sensory experiences
