🌲 Fields & Forests Registration is Now Open! 🌲

Where practical skills, confidence, and community grow together.

We are excited to launch the first season of Fields & Forests, a new nature-based enrichment program for youth ages 10–14 at Willow Tree!

This summer’s 6-week program will focus on building practical outdoor skills, confidence, responsibility, and teamwork through hands-on experiences in nature. Participants will develop foundational wilderness readiness and bushcraft skills while learning through real-world challenges, shared work, and meaningful connection.

🌿 Experiences may include:
🪵 Shelter building
🔪 Whittling & tool safety
🔥 Fire building
💧 Water filtering & purification
🌱 Plant identification
🥕 Gardening & land stewardship
🪢 Knots
🧭 Compass Skills & Navigation

🧭 Outdoor preparedness & problem-solving
🤝 Teamwork, leadership, and community-building experiences

While this summer session focuses on outdoor skills and wilderness readiness, Fields & Forests is part of a broader vision to help youth develop confidence, capability, practical life skills, and meaningful community connection through hands-on experiences rooted in nature and everyday life.

☀️📸🌿 Summer Snapshot at Willow Tree 🌿📸☀️

Our Summer Snapshot program is a special six-week session of sunshine, connection, play, and community for children ages 3–10.

Each summer, familiar faces return and new friendships begin as children reconnect with old friends while making new ones along the way. There’s something especially meaningful about watching friendships pick right back up year after year. 💛

Our days are filled with the simple joys of childhood:
💦 Water play & summertime fun
🌱 Gardening & nature exploration
🎨 Open-ended creativity & sensory experiences
🌲Forest fun & outdoor adventures
🧺 Picnic lunches, movement, laughter, and play
🤝 Opportunities to build confidence, social skills, and connection in authentic ways

At Willow Tree, we believe childhood should feel magical, connected, and grounded in community.

Because Summer Snapshot is intentionally small and relationship-based, spaces are limited — helping create a warm, welcoming environment where children can truly belong.

We can’t wait for another summer of muddy boots, wet clothes, happy hearts, and unforgettable memories. ☀️🌿

☀️Join us for fun in the sun - click the link in our bio or head to https://www.willowtreeot.com/nature-connection-programs to sign up for our Tuesday or Wednesday offerings this summer! ☀️

Today we said goodbye to a child and family who have been part of Willow Tree OT almost from the start.

Their next chapter is taking them far from here—not because it’s easy, but because they are following what their child needs most. While we’re so hopeful for what’s ahead, saying goodbye felt like a real loss—for all of us.

This work is often described in terms of goals and progress, but at its core, it’s about connection. It’s about showing up, again and again, through the hard moments and the meaningful ones. It’s about staying, even when the path isn’t easy—and holding space when it feels like others may have stepped away.

We’ve had the privilege of witnessing so much growth over time—and of being a steady place when it was needed most. But what stands out just as much is how this journey shaped all of us.

As a therapist, as a team, and as a community—we grew, too.
Through reflection, through support, through the moments that asked more of us and reminded us why this work matters.

There were hard days. And there were also moments of real, meaningful progress that we will carry with us.

As the sun sets on this chapter here, we’re holding both gratitude for what was and hope for what lies ahead.

To this family—thank you. For your trust, your persistence, and the love behind the decisions you’re making.

And to the families we serve: please know that you are never just a name on a schedule. You matter deeply to us. The time we spend together stays with us long after sessions end. 💛
