Our sweet Ms Lila.

What a wealth of wisdom and adventure she packed into her life!! She was such an interesting lady to talk with.

We prepared the soil, we planted, God watered, and finally we enjoyed the fruit of our labors.

Though our beds are not huge, residents have enjoyed eating a few tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and squash from their own labors.

Finally, this week, resident Don Thompson came inside with a watermelon from OUR vines. You can bet this brought many smiles!!

(We welcome assistance from the community with our “garden” at any time. We also always welcome fresh vegetables and fruit if your garden produces an over abundance. Fresh is ALWAYS best!! 🙂. )

Several residents gathered Friday afternoon for a fun time of music. Often when we enjoy this time, there will be a range of emotions as favorite songs are called out for all to sing. Some songs stir memories of joyous times and bring smiles, while other songs stir memories that bring tears.

As we sang this week, it was a joyous time from the first song to the last.

Songs rang through the halls for well over an hour.
